Změna rozlišení u Mobility FireGL 9000

Ahoj, celý včerejšek jsem testoval Ubuntu 7.04 ve VMware (virtuální počítač) a všechno běželo v phodě. Tak jsem si dnes nainstaloval tento OS na notebook IBM T40p s grafickou kartou ATI Radeon Mobility FireGL 9000 a po instalaci a nabootování systému jsem měl obrazovku nastavenou na rozlišení 1024x768 s obnovovací frekvencí 50Hz, přičemž tato frekvence mi nejde měnit. LCD přitom zvládá rozlišení 1400x1050 a 60Hz, tak jsem tam nastavil alespoň těch 1400x1050 a těch 50Hz jsem tam musel nechat. V tomto rozlišení je ale obraz různě rozsekaný a nechová se jak má (těžko se to popisuje, případně dodám foto).  Myslím si, že by to mohlo být způsobeno tím, že mi nejde změnit obnovovací frekvence na těch 60Hz, ale nevím to jistě. Mohl by mi prosím někdo poradit jestli se musí něco třeba přepsat v xorg.conf, nebo ještě jiná možnost? Zde je výpis souboru xorg.conf:
