Ahoj mam Ubuntu 9.10 predtym som mal 9.04 ani tam mi neslo WIFI. Dlho a vela som cital pisal na forum (tu) nikto mi neporadil tak ako aky ovladac... som zaciatocnik. Pomozte mi prosim.

Co znamena ten vypis ze nainstalovalo? ???
A ked hej tak kde. Ako spustim ten ovladac aby to fungovalo??? poradte prosim.

Ten výpis znamená jen, že jsi rozbalil balík, v kterým jsou zdrojové kódy. Ty je nutno zkompilovat. Návod nalezneš v souboru README_STA, který jsem tam zahlédl.

Bez práce:
Někdy pomůže
instalovat systém s počítačem připojeným k síti drátem
nebo
připojit počítač drátem k netu a pokoušet se zapnout tlačítkem wifi modul
nebo
spustit na NB Windows, tam zapnout tlačítkem wifi modul (který si to u mě pamatuje, zda byla naposledy ON či OFF), rozsvítí se LEDka, a potom s počítačem připojeným drátem restartovat a spustit Ubuntu. Ubuntu ho detekuje. U9.10 nabídne výběr ze dvou nesvobodných ovladačů. mě fungují oba,
Wifi jsem takto rozchodil vždy (U8.04 a nyní i u U9.10) a nic jsem nekompiloval, ale možná jsem měl pouze štěstí...

If you want for rt2870 driver to auto-load at boot time:
A) choose ra0 for first RT2870 WLAN card, ra1 for second RT2870 WLAN card, etc.
B) create(edit) 'ifcfg-ra0' file in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/,
edit( or add the line) in /etc/modules.conf:
alias ra0 rt2870sta
C) edit(create) the file /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-ra0

Spusť terminál, rozbaleno už patrně máš, tak tě už bod jedna nemusí prakticky zajímat, jenom zalistuj do adresáře se zdrojáky. Dále postupuj podle návodu a případně se ptej. Vím je to zmatečné, ale pokud se nedá Ralink rozjet jinak?!

Jaký sudo apt-get install ...? V tom návodu nic takového není. Já vím je to anglicky, ale je to polopatě.
Krok 1: Rozbalit komprim a vlést do adresáře s kódy (to už vlastně máš)
Krok 2: Upravit v něm Makefile (popsáno jak)
Krok 3: Upravit config.mk v podadresáři ./os/linux (popsáno jak)
Krok 4: Sestavit pomocí make, pokud vyplivne chybu, je popsána oprava pomocí patch.
Krok 5: Nakopírovat zkompilovanej modul na patřičné místo
Krok 6: Loadnout jaderný modul a nakonfigurovat síť
Dále se s tím dá ještě pokračovat, ale to popíšu až bude wifina vůbec fungovat. Popsal jsem to stručně ale snad i jasně. Pokračuj tím, že si přečteš můj bod a s ním odpovídající bod v anglickém návodu. Je to prostě jenom postup. Nemusíš si s tím upravováním Makefile či config.mk hrát v konzoli, uprav to normálně přes klikátka. To si nech až na kompilaci. ;)
Vím, není to procházka růžovím sadem, ale pokud to zvládneš a trochu i pochopíš, nebudeš mít potom problém s podobnými prekérkami jako teď napoprvé. 8)

Asi prejdem na Open suse :) Mozno tam pojde wifi ;) na 1-krat. Tazko sami opusta ubuntu :'( Asi neprejdem na open suse.

Nějak nevěřím, že ti jiný distro pomůže. Co jsem koukal, tak snad na každý wiki nejpoužívanějších distribucí je podobný nebo jinak odpovídající postup zprovoznění této wifi. Cože to máš za notebook?

Uff... horší než jsem si myslel. :D Nebylo by tedy lepší ji zahodit (protože Ralink, raději na ní ještě šlápnout) a koupit za tři kila něco lepšího a funkčního (Atheros, Broadcom)? ;)

Já mám ve stolním PC integrovanou wifi Belkin G Wireles a běžela hned Ubuntu si jí našlo při spuštění,stála kolem tří stovek a nemusíš nic instalovat

Ale za 10€ wifinu? Na Slovensku?? :( ;D :D ;) :) srandujes za 10€ akurat tak TOPCOM bez externej anteny a ja musim mat antenu pretoze taham od suseda ;)
ps: wifinu TOPCOM som mal a bolo to strasne tak som ju vratil a dolozil na tu wifinu co mam AirLive WN-360USB.

No, za tři kila sice není, ale já mám doma předchůdce této a tři roky mi běhala v routeru jedna radost (dnes jsem ji vyndal jenom proto, že překopávám síť a už není potřeba):

No pokud nesvedeš nainstalovat balík firmware-b43-installer tak je to potom těžký
