dnes sa mi začalo zobrazovať keď si dam Update Manager "Not all updates can be installed" a vidim zosivnute že asi jediny update je update-manager-core ktory keď som si chcel neskôr nainštalovať pomocou apt-get tak mi vypisalo že to chce odstraniť ubuntu-desktop update-manager update-notifier čo asi by som nemal odstraňovať. Neviem čo s tym, či preinštalovať system alebo čo, na internete som zatiaľ nič nenašiel.

klidně to proveď, on je potom opět nainstalí, ale v nové verzi

ok, oskušam, dam potom vedieť či všetko ok :)

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

cez apt som nainštaloval to čo mi nechcelo uptadovať s tym že sa odstranilo ubuntu-desktop ktory ale teraz cez synaptic nejde nainštalovať lebo su nevyriešiteľné závislosti, a z menu mi zmizla ikonka na updatovanie ::)

Nemožnost nainstalovat balík ubuntu-desktop ničemu nevadí - je to tzv. metabalík, který sám o sobě obsahuje jen závislosti - tj. de facto nainstaluje všechny výchozí aplikace gnome.
A pokud vám systém normálně beží, tak z rozumnými odstupy (ráno, večer) provádějte sudo apt-get víceboj - postupně ho spouštějte s parametry update upgrade dist-upgrade autoclean autoremove
Vězte, že 8.04 pořád není final release a že se dost často updatuje a také se občas stane, že se strefíte do doby, kdy je část updatů již v repozitáři a část ne.

po tom čo som to nainštaloval cez apt-get a odstranil ubuntu-desktop hej /vtedy keď som to robil ešte som nevidel jeho post/ ano ale nepomohlo ani som nečakal že to nainštaluje,
oskušam ten prikaz opakovať

a sources.list máte opravený na Hardy zdroje?

mam len je všetko sk a nie cz (u nas na univerzite to skladuju :D pokiaľ viem)

takže už to cez apt-get update nainštalovalo niečo čo sa mi zdalo že nesuvisi s ubuntu-desktop, dobehol som proces pri autoclean to odstranilo update-manager-core 1:0.87.23, potom som dal install ubuntu-desktop a bolo po probleme, takže je to vyriešenie, ďakujem za pomoc :)
poznamka: keď som si pozrel sources.list tak som prepisal pri wine z gutsy na hardy ale to asi to neovplyvnilo hoci pri uptade sa nainštalovalo nove wine
