Dobre dopoledne.
Chtel jsem se zeptat, zda ma nekdo zkusenosti s touto GK (Compaq Armada M700, PIII, 700MHz, 256 MB RAM) ve smyslu ovladani barev a gamma korekce. Pri instalaci UBUNTU 6.06 detekce probehla v poradku, ale nic krome rozliseni a nastaveni bitove hloubky (pouze do 24, nikoli 32 jak bylo ve win) nastavit nemuzu. nepomuze, tuto kartu ovladac nepodporuje.
3D akceleraci nepotrebuji, na pocitaci teto konfigurace mi 3D slo mizerne i ve win.
Je nejake reseni?

je to poměrně blbý i v linuxu. driver ati, který této kartě dodá X.org neni úplně optimální, protože rage mobility má čipset mach64 a ne radeon. můžete zkusit příkaz xgamma z shelllu, výsledné hodnoty se dají předat X serveru při startu - stačí vložit do xorg.conf jestli to zafunguje netušim. lepší nástroje pro kontrolu barev jsou jen s binárním ovladačem (fglrx) od ati, ale tam zas máte smůli s timhle čipsetem ...
3d akcelerace (bídná) se dá získat pomocí instalace opensource ovladačů (modul drm a mach64) z projektu http://dri.freedesktop.org ale teď zrovna sem s tim někomu pomáhal a výsledek se zatim nedostavil ... dle diskusí na ubuntuforums.org s tim má s 3d na tejhle kartě problém poměrně dost lidí

Diky za radu, vyzkousim to. Je neklikatkove (negraficke) ovladani Gnome jinaci nez KDE? Matne si totiz vzpominam, ze bud posledni Mandrake (pred prejmenovanim na Mandrivu) nebo Suse 9.3 graficke ovladani v KDE mel/o. A bylo celkem pouzitelne.

Tady je xorg.conf. Kam se ta data o gamma korekci zapisuji? Po zadani prikazu xgamma v terminalu: Red 1.000, Green 1.000, Blue 1.000 (v xorgu nevim, kde tyto polozky jsou).
