Koupil jsem kartu, jedinou s Atheros čipem, která byla možná objednat z krámu.
1) Karta nachází signál (slabší), ale nedokáže se připojit (zkoušeno s více AP).
Zkoušel jsem Intrepid Ibex i kompilovat madwifi, vždy ten samý výsledek.
2) Další problém je, že se karta hlásí jinak.
U prodejce je to: Alfa AWPCI085HUminiPCI 500mW, Atheros AR5414

Jakou jinou wifi miniPCI tedy vybrat aby fungovala bez problémů a měla pořádný signál?

Doopravdy nikdo neví co s tím?
Se sprovozňováním HW pod Tuxama nemam žádné zkušenosti.
No a když nic nepomůže, co mam koupit za kartu s nějakým silným Atheros čipem co funguje bez problémů?
Tato karta holt půjde do kytek.

zkuste jí nahodit ručně a na chvilku jí vypnout od NM a připojit se na AP bez šifrování ručně;)

Fracty: Vyzkoušel jsem to (snad dobře), ale bez úspěchu.
1) Vypnul jsem v Network-manageru (enable wireless, enable networking)
2) Zapnul jsem wifi:
ifconfig ath0 up
3) Nastavil AP:
iwconfig ath0 ap 00:4F:62:0E:53:CD
4) Zakázal jsem šifrování:
iwconfig ath0 key off
5) Pokus o líznutí IP
dhclient ath0

Nemusi to byt presne ta sama karta, ale chipset Realtek RT2500 a zrejme i vyssi v Ubuntu funguje uz z jadra.. :)
Jeste bych dodal, ze jsem rozchodil BCM4316, Intel a Realtek fungovaly hned z live cd, ale Atheros jsem nemel zadnej, takze bych do neho asi nesel a sel do osvedcenych chipsetu vyse.. :)

Potřebuju miniPCI s opravdu silným signálem (prý jedině Atheros).
Jenže mě správně nefunguje.
Poradil by mě ještě někdo co s tím dál pls?

Ještě bych zkusil napevno nastavit kanál.
Jo mimochodem, docela rád používám miniPCI od Orinoco (agere)

Nastavení kanálu nepomohlo...
Nejradši bych bral nějakou silnou Atherosku která nemá problém s madwifi :(
