Rád bych rozšířil plochu na druhý monitor.
První snímek-plocha zrcadlená jen pro ilustraci, o to zájem nemám.
notebook 1680x1050 , monitor 1600x1200
vidíte, jak je gadget hodin na monitoru šišatý? Celá plocha na druhém monitoru
je deformována i všechna okna v ní.

Druhý snímek, to bych raději, plochu rozšířit. Podívejte se, co se stalo s cairo dockem,
je přepůlený, raději bych ho na prvním monitoru, tapeta se roztáhla..., ale hlavně,
nejde myší aktivovat skrývaný horní panel úloh, jde to, částečně, pomocí ALT+F1
.. hlavně proto to ale není k použití.

neodpovedel jsem ti proto, ze screenshoty jsou naprosto irelevantni !!
napis co mas za GPU, ukaz prislusne sekce z xorg.conf a idealne i vystup z prikazu `xrandr --verbose -q`

abych k tobe nebyl nespravedlivy, napisu ti pomerne spolehlivy zpusob jak vyresit pro priste vetsinu problemu ::
1) kdyz uz se ptas, pouzivej urcite zdvorilostni fraze, jinak vypadas jako nekultivovane a nevychovane zvire ..
2) ze tveho dotazu bylo patrne, ze jsi se vubec neobtezoval resit to sam. !google driv nez se zeptas tady, jinak bo vic vypadas jako lenoch a podprumerne inteligentni jedinec
3) kdyz ti nekdo napise neco co se ti nelibi, nepis mu urazene PM, ponevadz muze znat odpoved a nastves ho a nerekne ti ji ..
^^ pokud budes dodrzovat 3 kroky vyse, vyresis vetsinu problemu efektivne a rychle ..

no nemám, blbě se to vybírá z xorg.conf, když prostředí blbne.
Nicméně, když to naklikám pomocí systém-volby-displej, dopadne to tak jak ukazuji v tom prvním příspěvku,
a v xorg.conf takto:

Hlavní potíž -nepřístupnost horního panelu myší - asi způsobuje to, že monitor, na který jde rozšíření plochy má na výšku více pixelů, než primární displej. Když nastavím menší rozlišení (to mi ale nevyhovuje jako konečné řešení a tak jsemto bohužel zkusil až teď) na monitoru, horní panel se zpřístupní.
Přiznám se, používám klikátor, editace xorg.conf se obávám, příliš si na ni nevěřím. Na co by tam ten v Ubuntu klikátor byl, kdyby to s ním nastavit nešlo?

pokud to nejde klikatkama neni jine cesty .. sam nemam intelackou grafiku, ale nastavoval jsem ji par lidem podle tohoto navodu (mam ulozeno v bookmarks) ale i jinejch (viz google) a pokazde se mi to nakonec v pohode povedlo ..

nainstaloval jsem jádro 2.6.30 rc2 a intel ovladac 2.7 a je to lepší, mimochodem s ovladačem 2.6 (snad si pamatuji tu verzi se kterou původně Jaunty přišel) glxgears dávali s 2.6.30 přes 1000 (ale spadly mi Xka při přehrávání DVBT v kaffeine), teď s 2.7 ale zase 700, nicméně chodí líp efekty a vůbec. Pro dvojici monitorů imo stále platí, že ten prvotní musí mít na výšku stejně, nebo více pixelů, než ten, na který zasahuje rozšíření, druhotný. Xorg.conf zůstal ten, co nastaví instalace ubuntu, bez modifikací (jen jsem si tam povolil ctrl₊alt+backspace).

Tapetu jsem upravil přesně na první monitor, na druhém pokračuje jako dlaždice, při malém rozdílu v rozlišení není hnusná. A divte se: Cairo dock se umravnil sám od sebe, na této nové konfiguraci a snáší i animované ikony. Jádro 2.6.30 je ale zřetelně pomalejší při startu programů, i celého Ubuntu (2.6.28 startovalo 40 sekund, 2.6.30RC2 2 minuty).
