Mám svoji wifi.Mám router od O2 a všechny PC včetně PDA s Win ji vidí . Jen ubuntu ne. Mám v nabídce "připojit se ke skryté síti a když to zadám,tak se snaží připojit,ale nepovede se to.

Prosím ťa, tvoj essid na wifi ( alebo na routri ) je hide (skrytý)? Skus si stiahnuť WICD ( je v zdrojoch) je to super utilika. Ja ju používam a a som s ňou spokojný.
sudo apt-get install wicd NM niekedy blbne , ale wicd je v good.

Tak se mi to podařilo rozběhat přes WICD. Nejdříve to vidělo jen skrytou síť,a když jsem si pohrál s routerem, tak se to chytlo a běží to bez problémů. Moc děkuji za pomoc. Mám ještě dotaz,týkající se grafiky na tomto notebooku.Když povolím nesvobodný ovladač,už nenastartuje systém.Mám ho zakázaný a nevím jak to rozběhnout. Je v tom grafika ATI 3200 a 3650. Asi se to mezi sebou nějak pere,ale nejede to.

Zkusil jsem,načetlo to všechno bez chyb a po restartu je to stejné.

Skús mi bližšie popísať, ten problém. Ako "nenastartuje systém","po restartu je to stejné"... Aby som pravdu povedal ani neviem, čo robíš . Možno je problém trivialny. Len ten popis musíš podať čo najpodrobnejšie ,aby to bulo jasné aj pre ostatnych. Čim viac info , tým skôr sa to vyrieši.

Nemůžu spustit akcelerované prostředí. Když chci změnit efekty plochy,tak mi to vypíše,že nelze efekty zapnout. Mám zakázaný nesvobodný ovladač a nechci ho povolit,protože kdykoliv jsem ho povolil,tak už jsem systém nenastartoval. Nedokáže si to vybrat grafickou kartu. Je tu ATI 3200 a 3650. Je to nějaký hybrid a nedaří se mi to rozběhnout. Prošel jsem fóra a vyzkoušel snad všechno co bylo popsáno a končí to buď bez jakéhokoliv efektu,nebo se to zboří. Jnak WIFI už mi jede i přes NM.Zkusil jsem ho dát zpět,protože umí připojení i přes mobilní telefon. Problém byl nejspíš v routeru.

Hm nuž neviem... skús si stiahnuť
sudo apt-get install envyng-gtk a nainstaluj ati driver priamo . Je tam pekná grafika a je to intuitívne. Uvidíme či si to poradí s tými dvoma grafikami...

Díky,ale nepomohlo to. Našel jsem ovladač,který by to snad mohl vyřešit,ale nevím jak ho nainstalovat.

Ano aj to je možnosť ,ale pre začiatočníka trošku ťažšie ;D inštalacia je jednoduchá stiahni si driver na plochu a daj mu prava :
cd /home/sti/Desktop
chmod a+x ati-driver-installer-9-9-x86.x86_64.run
sh ./ati-driver-installer-9-9-x86.x86_64.run
enter
a už sa len riaď pokynmi, je to v grafike...

Instalace se mi podařila,ale při startu mi to píše chybu a startuje to v základním rozlišení. V aplikacích mi přibyla nabídka Catalyst,ale to píše taky chybu.

Když zadám příkaz sudo aticonfig --initial, tak se zapíše a po restartu mi to napíše že je to špatně nastavený a donutí mi to natáhnout default nastavení grafiky . Jeto jediná volba která funguje,jinak to nenestartuje systém.

nuž "/var/log/Xorg.0.log" je výstup z xserveru, teda nejaký textový súbor , a ten si zobrazíš v nejakom textovom editore napr. "gedit" , alebo cez terminal príkazom "cat" teda , príkaz bude vyzerať
gedit /var/log/Xorg.0.log

Ten príkaz už , podľa tvojho výpisu, už prebehol a máš ho nainstalovaný (ovladač má meno radeonfb) mrkni sa do "lsmod" , A ak nie je, tak potom "sudo modprobe radeonfb" . Takže skús rozbehnúť compiz, mal by ti frčať... :D

Tak se mi to podařilo rozběhat přes WICD. Nejdříve to vidělo jen skrytou síť,a když jsem si pohrál s routerem, tak se to chytlo a běží to bez problémů. Moc děkuji za pomoc. Mám ještě dotaz,týkající se grafiky na tomto notebooku.Když povolím nesvobodný ovladač,už nenastartuje systém.Mám ho zakázaný a nevím jak to rozběhnout. Je v tom grafika ATI 3200 a 3650. Asi se to mezi sebou nějak pere,ale nejede to.

Označení počítače je Asus M51Ta AS028C. Bios mám poslední verzi. Nemám problémy se startem systému,ty právě BIOS vyřešil,ale s akcelací 2D a 3D. Koukal jsem na ty odkazy,ale pochybuji,že si dokážu poskládat,nebo upravit jádro.

Tak se mi po mnoha pokusech podařilo alespoň částečně rozběhat akceleraci grafiky přes "mesa driver". Mám ale ještě jeden dotaz. Systém mi hlásí dvě grafické karty a potřeboval bych poradit jak přepnout na tu druhou. Jede mi ATI 3200 a potřebuji aby byla ta druhá ATI 3650 jako hlavní.

Mám ten stejný ntb, ale řeším opačný problém. Pro práci mi stačí ATI3200 která je i aktivní, ale zřejmě je zároveň zapnutá i ATI3650, která neúměrně topí (pod pravou rukou) a díky tomu jede 90% času ventilátor. Výdrž na baterii tedy mizerná a zdroj vařící.
Existuje způsob, jak ATI3650 vypnout (BIOS to neumožňuje) třeba v konfiguraci HALu, nebo někde jinde, jinak? Poradíte?
