Zdravim všechny,
Zkouším  nainstalovat skype, ale po instalaci mohu jen komunikovat psaním, videohovor nejde. Ani nevím jestli mám 32 nebo 64 verzi. Stahnul jsem Skype pro verzi 8.10 .Nevim jestli je to tím,že mám vyšší verzi ?
Ubuntu mám verzi 9.10
Výpis z terminálu  po zadání -uname -a:

Ještě jsem se chtěl pozeptat na mediubuntu?Je to doplněk potřebný k instalaci skype? Jaký vliv má na instalaci skype?

Medibuntu je repozitář, na kterém byl skype dostupný, už ale není, tzn se skype ti nepomůže..
Máš i686, tzn z těch stránek skype potřebuješ Ubuntu 8.10+ 32-bit.
No a ta kamera ti jinde jede? Vidí ju skype v nastavení?

Pokud ano zkus upravit spouštěč na následující příkaz:

Ahoj všichni,
Děkuji za rady a komenty, kameru jsem jinde nezkoušel. Je potřeba doinstalovat něco, aby kamera byla funkční? Kamera je Genius iSlim 310.
Skype jsem nainstaloval pro Ubuntu 8.10+ 32-bit.
Klasický hovor jsem zatím taky neuskutečnil, slyším a vidím  jen protistranu a když píši slyším protistranu kousavě. Musím komunikovat stále jen psaním.
Jak spustit v Terminálu skype bych potřeboval poradit nejsem až takový odborník, teprve se učím a řídím se podle rad a  návodů.
Zkoušel jsem hodit do terminálu Kód : sh -c "LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/libv4l/v4l1compat.so skype" a naběhl skype 2.1 (Beta) for Linux. Ve Skype v nastavení - zvuk repro dobrý, ale zkušební hovor kousavý. Video Test - vůbec nic.

Zkusím někde něco ještě přečíst a poradit se,     děkuji a přeji hezký den všem...

jaké máte připojení? Protokol skype je dost náročný na objem přenesených dat. Na otestování kamerky je dobrý třeba program cheese - http://wiki.ubuntu.cz/Cheese
tím zjistíte jestli je problém na straně webkamerky nebo skypu...

Cheese zase tak dobrý není, mě v webka v cheese nefunguje, ale ve skypu jo, v nastaveních ve skypu v záložce Video devices měl být řádek "Select webcam" a pod ním takový "rozklikávátko", když se na to klikne, vyjede tam něco jako "USB camera (/dev/video0)" aspoň u mě. Když to tam takhle májdete, tak Skype vaší webku našel.

Připojení mám přes kabel O2.

Program Cheese jsem nainstaloval a nic nereagovalo ani webkameru nenašel... zkoušel jsem nainstalovat jiný program: guvcview a píše mi to: nelze otevřít zařízení.Prosím usjistěte se, že

kamera je připojena a je nainstalován driver linux-UVC.  Kamera je připojena a svítí : - to je vše.  Nevím jak pokračovat a co je ještě potřeba. Co???

V nastavení ve Skype v záložce Video devices je sice  řádek, ale nejde rozkliknout, není žádná nabídka "USB camera (/dev/video0)"

Takže jsem nepokročil ani o ždibec a pořád jsem na začátku problému... Pláč

1, Genius iSlim 310 je UVC? Mam pocit, ze nie, ja som kupoval iSlim 320 prave preto, ze ten je UVC a tym padom nic nemusis instalovat.

Hm, no 1. výpis ulož do tagu "#" lepšie sa to číta...
           2. kameru asi nemáš pripojenú. (lsusb -vv je výpis jadra z usb portov, teda ju pripoj a opakuj príkaz)

Ak je to Genius iSlim 310 tak , tam je asi jediná možnosť skompilovať ovladač z http://linuxtv.org/hg/~jfrancois/gspca s týmto patchom http://patchwork.kernel.org/patch/81911/. No ale to nebude asi pre teba jednoduchá záležitosť. Alebo počkať nejaký čas, až sa to zapracuje do jadra.

Len ten výpis nebol uložený do "tagu # (vložiť kód)" hrozne sa to číta, a hlavne nebol to úplný, takže ani neviem , čo to máš za železo.

1. Brouzdal jsem na netu a hledal a nic odkaz na odkaz a řešení žádné... viz. http://www.geniusnet.com/ na produkty a ovladače a nic ještě jsou na mrtvém bodě asi poněvač na widle 7, mají a na linux ubuntu 9.10 nic. Mnoho dalších odkazů je na nabídky webkamer.

          Vím že moje rada je až ta poslední jsem začátečník ale po zhruba měsíci laborování se dvěma webkami které vedlo k nejistým a občasně dobrým výsledkům jsem nakonec koupil kamerku Genius ilook 1321 má 1,3m a cena něco málo přes 300 kč ,a ta chodí ihned po připojení bez problémů i ve skype bez jakehokoliv nastavování.Je mi akorat divné že ta vaše kamera nechodí pokud je pro visty a má vlc ovladač.

Skype jsem naistaloval a chodí jak má asi? Zatím jen komunikuji tím, že píši a hledám jak naistalovat ovladač na webkameru Genius ISlim310 abych mohl komunikovat hlasem a mohl používat kamerku naplno ...

Skype vyřešeno a ovladač na webkameru jsem zavedl jako jiný dotaz.
