Zdravím,
Když v KDE4 nastavím v Nastavení systému frekvenci monitoru na správnou (75hz), tak se po restartu zase zresetuje na 60hz. To samé i nastavení gamy monitoru.
Vyguglil jsem že pomůže nastavení monitoru spustit jako root - to nepomohlo.
Dodám že se jedná o kartu Ati X1950XT.
Ještě dodám, že jako problém hardwaru to asi nebude, v Gnome si to na tohle PC nastavení pamatovalo, takže to bude asi KDE problém.

Tohleto mi taky dělalo na jednom počítači s radeonem 9200. Tenhle bug nebo nedokonalost (každopádně to nefunguje spolehlivě) je tam snad 2 roky. To je dost děs. No mně pomohlo až když jsem se v zoufalství odhodlal k ruční úpravě xorg.conf, je tam parametr, kterým se dá nastavit rozmezí detekce frekvence (VertRefresh range, HorizSync range) tak s těma si pohrát. Já ten interval nastavil tak úzký a kolem frekvence, kterou jsem chtěl, že to nemělo šanci nastavit jinou. Tohle pomohlo; od té doby na to raději nesahám. Ale pamatuju si z logu, že ten problém nebyl v xserveru, ona se nastavila správná frekvence (např 75Hz), ale když startovalo KDE, tak to zase přenastavilo na špatnou výchozí 60Hz. Byl to asi nejotravnější bug, se kterým jsem se setkal! S gamou nevím, to nemám potřebu měnit.

Dík za odpověď. No ten xorg.conf mě napadl, to udělám, ale jak na tu gamu? On známej nemá nejlepší monitor, a gamou kompenzuje viditelnost odstínů šedé...

A range of values is two values separated by a dash. By default the values are in units of kHz. They may be specified in MHz or Hz if MHz or Hz is added to the end of the line. The data given here is used by the Xorg server to determine if video modes are within the specifications of the monitor. This information should be available in the monitor's handbook. If this entry is omitted, a default range of 28-33kHz is used.

A range of values is two values separated by a dash. By default the values are in units of Hz. They may be specified in MHz or kHz if MHz or kHz is added to the end of the line. The data given here is used by the Xorg server to determine if video modes are within the specifications of the monitor. This information should be available in the monitor's handbook. If this entry is omitted, a default range of 43-72Hz is used.

Řešení z odkazovaného topicu nefunguje. (přidal jsem do zmíňého souboru xrandr --output DVI-0 --mode 1440x900_75.00)
PC furt startuje do KDE s 60hz a s úplnou ignorací nastavení gamy, přestože jsem před restartem nastavil v systemsettings 75hz a upravil gamu.

To mě mělo napadnout, měl jste pravdu, takže aktuální stav je, že to do KDE naběhne v 75hz, ale stále si systemsettings nepamatuje nastavení v jeho modulu Kgama :( .
Dá se to taky nějak nastavit ručně v konfiguráku někde?

S gamou bohužel neporadím... Snad někdo jiný? ;)
