Zdravim,
som uuuplny zaciatocnik v linuxe a potreboval by som pomoct nastavit rozlisenie LCD display.

Presiel som vsetky prispevky na tomto fore, ktore je mozne vyhladat pod slovami: rozlisenie, 1280x800, 915GM a pod.
Vyskusal som skutocne vsetky rady, ktore tu boli spomenute. Stravil som pri tom kopec casu a nopodarilo sa mi nic s tym spravit. :(

Moj problem:
Ako bolo pisane v http://forum.ubuntu.cz/viewtopic.php?id=1684 (http://forum.ubuntu.cz/viewtopic.php?id=1684) skusil som pouzit balicek 915resolution. Ktory som podla postupu http://forum.ubuntu.cz/viewtopic.php?id=3831 instaloval.
Po zapisani tohto riadku
915resolution 5c 1280 800 24
do /etc/rc.local
sa mi po starte zmeni rozlisenie na 1280x800 ale v skutocnoti je rozlisenie 1024x768 a zvysok je skryta cast ku ktorej sa dostanem myskou, ked zajdem na okraj obrazovky. Inak povedane akoby som skroloval po ploche.
Okrem toho som skusal aj prekonfigurovat xorg.conf cez sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg
a ani to nepomohlo. Stale ten isty problem.

HorizSync 28-64 na neco vyssiho treba 28-100.
Nemusis se bat s LCD se nic nestane. Protoze na dalsim radku
mas stejne omezenou frekvenci jen na 60 Hz.

Oki, skusim to, ale nemyslim, ze prave toto bude chyba.
Problem je to, ze obraz sa mi po nastaveni nezmesti do displaya. Je vacsi.
Kamarat mal volakedy podobny problem a tvrdil, ze to vyriesil nejak v xorg.conf nejakym nasavenim. Ze by tam mal byt daky option na konkretne tuto vec. Lenze on si to uz vobec napamata.

Toto som uz skusal. A bolo to tam hned po instalacii 915resolution balicka. Skusal som to aj teraz a nepomohlo. Ked to necham na MODE=auto tak mi po restarte X-ov nastavi na rozlisenie 1024x768. Ked v /etc/default/915resolution nastavim veci nasledovne:
MODE=5c
XRESO=1280
YRESO=800
BIT=24to sposobi moj problem, ale neviem ci je to prave koly tomuto.
Ja si stale myslim, ze je tam iny problem. Nejaky skryty konfigurak mozno kde sa nastavuje aby sa obraz zmestil do diplaya.
Prosim pomozte niekto lebo asi z toho zcvoknem. :o

Skusal som to a problem pretrvava nadalej. Nemyslim ze zmenou frekvencie sa mi podari zmenit
rozlisenie, to predsa s tym nesuvisi.

Co som sa docital a dokazal si nasleden najst v googli bolo to ze radia aby sa do /etc/X11/xorg.conf zapisal tento riadok do sekcie Device

Skusal som to a ani to nepomohlo. Teraz pre zmenu uz neviem ani dosiahnut stav v ako som predtym (teda aspon tych 1280x800 skrolovacych). Najek som to pokaslal a mam stale 1024x768.
Ludia, please poradte daco. Som v tomto fakt lama a zacinam mat pocit ze windows lepsi uz len koly tomu ze zere menej casu.

Zdravim,
mam notebook s Intel915 a nativnim rozlisenim displaye 1400x1050.
Mel jsem v nabidce pouze 1280x1024 a pomohlo mi ten program "915resolution" nainstalovat:
sudo apt-get install 915resolutiona po restartu X jsem mel v nabidce ve sprave systemu spravne rozliseni.
PS: jen poznamenam, ze v nativnim rozliseni mam vse naprosto perfektne vykreslene a vyhlazene fonty.... drive jsem mel SUSE a tam byly fonty maznute.

Ano, postupoval som presne podla navodu. Dokonca som skusil pouzit aj ten konfigurak co tam je. Xka mi potom vobec nenabehli.

Jako posledni vec zkuste nastavit HorizSync 28-64 a VertRefresh 43-60.
Opravdu v System -> Preferences -> Screen Resolution nejde nastavit rozliseni na 1280x800?

Tento modul som do xorg.conf uz pridal a zmenil som aj tie frekvencie a ani to nepomohlo.
A v System -> Preferences -> Screen Resolution mam iba rozlisenie 1024x768.
Skutocne je potrebne nastavit iba xorg.cong, a dalsie suboru co som sem poslal?
Nemoze byt problem niekde inde? napriklad s kernelom? Mam nainstalovany najnovsi pre procesory intel -686 podla navodu http://forum.ubuntu.cz/viewtopic.php?id=3129.

Odinstaloval som balicek 915resolution a znovu nainstaloval.
V xorg.conf som nastavil Mode "1280x800" v sekcii Screen.
V /etc/default/915resolution som nastavil MODE=auto a ostatne hodnoty som nezadal
A po restarte X-ov sa mi podarilo dosiahnut stav ako pisem v #1 prispevku.
Obraz ma rozlisenie 1280x800 ale v skutocnosti akoby bol velky iba 1024x768. To znamena ze ked sa dostanem na okraj obrazu tak sa mi zacne posuvat v danom smere.
Co dalej?

Este otazka. Na forach sa pise ze do prikazu 915resolution MODE Xres Yres
mame dat rozlisenie ktore nikdy nepouzijeme. Co to znamena?

Pomoci toho prikazu jde vypsat vsechny rozliseni, ktere ta karta zvlada. Vyberes nejake, ktere nepouzijes a prepises ho na tvoje hodnoty.

Takze nakoniec sa mi to podarilo rozchodit.
Problem bol ze som nemal nastaveni Modeline v sekci Monitor v /etc/xorg.conf
Ale POZOR: co tam zapisat som ziskal pomocou prikazu gtf 1280 800 50
kde to 50 znamena frekveciu. Ak je velka tak to rozlisenie nejde nastavit. To je ten problem ktory som popisoval ale ak sa zmensi, teda v mojom pripade je to na 50. Bezi to uz v pohode.
Na zaver by som podakoval vsetkym, ktory mi pomohli, DIKI.

ja mam podobny problem na ntb inspiron 6400, po zapnuti ntb mi nabehne rozliseni 1024x768, muzu se pokouset nastavit vsechno mozny ale vic me to nepusti. prepsal sem xorg.conf jen na rozliseni 1280x800, ostatni sem smazal, ale stale postartu nabiha 1024... a vic nastavit nelze, skusil sem po jednom nastavovani ukoncit relaci a restartovat xka a ono to nabehlo na 1280x800 samo od sebe. pokud ale opet restartuju cele linuxi, tak zase nabehne 1024, tak zase restartuji jen xka a je to ok. cim by to mohlo byt???? balice 915 mam.
