Zeptám se jelikož nevím jestli je to vůbec možné. Mám v počítači grafickou kartu GeForce 8500GT a na ní dva monitory a vše šlape v pořádku.
Válí se mi tady vícero PCI grafických karet a chtěl bych mít třetí monitor kde by mi běžely systémové blbosti atd... ;D Jenom nevím jak to nastavit a je li to vůbec možné?

Já mám pocit, že BIOS ti podle nastavení preferované sběrnice pro GK tu druhou vypne, pokud by jsi to tedy neměl jako SLI

Podle forum tady http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1741188 (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1741188) to na 11.04 UNITY nefunguje ale dřív to nějak šlo.
Hmm pokud to nejde existuje grafická karta na více monitorů fungující na linux?

Zkusím štěstí a ještě sem přihodím výpisy a třeba bude někdo vědět jak upravit xorg aby šel ten třetí monitor.

V DMESG je to jasne napísané. Tú GF4 ti to nebere a vypína, kvôli ovládačom (96) a natiahne to tie novšie (270). Ono to asi ani nepôjde (hoci aj SLI...nepodporuje to HW) lebo každá karta potrebuje iné uzavreté ovládače. A keďže v tých novších nie je podpora pre tie staršie tak ti to určite nepôjde. Možno cez tie otvorené by to aj šlo ale pochybujem :)

Aha zkusím jinou. Která by byla nejlepší? Ještě mám Matrox MGA IS-STROM R2, S3 Trio32 IAAB2, S3 Trio64V+ Q1E3BF, S3 ViRGE/DX On Board Q5E4BB ? Pokud ani jedna nevyhovuje skočím šipku do skladu a vyhrabu další :D

Možno kebyže to zapojíš do SLI(nvidia+nvidia). Ale to asi nemáš podporované :/

Ne SLI nemám. To bych musel investovat do desky :-\. Možná časem třeba k vánocům si udělám radost.
Tak jakou tam mám šoupnout aby měla podporu a nejlépe aby zvládala compiz(UNITY)?

Asi to není taková legrace si připojit více než dva monitory a pohybovat se v nízké cenové relaci. :-\

Tak to je pravda. Viac ako 2 monitory som sa nikdy pripojiť nepokúšal.

Teď jsem se zakoukal do tohoto (http://www.alza.cz/matrox-dualhead2go-analog-edition-multi-display-upgrade-d79598.htm#popis) ale ta cena je moc. :-\
Koukal jsem na různé diskuze a mělo by to v Ubuntu chodit po jednoduché úpravě Xorg bez problémů. Defakto jsou potom dva monitory pro systém jako jeden, to znamená že pokud maximalizuji okno tak se maximalizuje na oba monitory, :-\ ale s tím by se dalo žít.
