Zdravim pani.Vcera som nahodil Ubuntu na svojho notbuka (Acer Aspire 5101 AWLMi) vsetko som urobil podla navodu ktory som nasiel na fore a ubuntu ide krasne,mam vsak problem s wifi pripojenim :( skusal som uz hadam vsetko na tomto fore a aj na inych ale nejako sa to nechce rozbehnut,mohol by mi niekto prosim krok za krokom vysvetlit ako by som to mohol rozbehat ? Wifi je Broadcom Airforce One 4318... dakujem za pochopenie , njn lama :/

nejde ....neviem kde robim a ci vobec robim nejaku chybu ale nejde to ....napriklad pri tahani modulu mi to vyhodi fatal....

No, musíš specifikovat, nejsme jasnovidci...
napiš jak postupuješ, jaký příkaz nefunguje, co vypíše apod...

This is a HOW-TO for the BCM4318 Airforce one card.
If you are using a Broadcom, BCM4318 Airforce one 54g wireless network card. Odds are your gonna want to read this. I know this to work for Mepis, and probably Ubuntu also. Probably works on all of the distro's but I'm not an expert.
1) Open a text editor as root and click on File in the top left corner. Then click open. Now open up /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist
2) Now that you've opened that you should see something like this:
1. #replaced by tulip
2. blacklist de4x5.

Note that the # is the start of the paragraph, or the subject. The second line is the action in this case blacklisting. For example:
1. #Server is a piece of crap not worth having online
2. blacklist server

So now go to the bottom of the last entry and skip one line and leave it blank then on the next line type in:
1. #broadcom native driver
2. blacklist bcm43xx
Just like you see there the subject on the first line with the # in front, and the action on the second line.
3) Save this file, and close ittoto som urobil islo to v poho ale 4) Open up a terminal and type this: ((Note: after 1. you press enter after 2. you press enter))
1. rmmod bcm43xx
2. rmmod ndiswrapper
3. modprobe ndiswrapper
4. ndiswrapper -lmi uz neslo ked som napisal rmmod bcm43xxtak mi vyhodilo : ERROR module bcm43xxdoes not exist in /proc/modules
to iste napisalo aj pri rmmod ndiswrapperked som skusil modprobe ndiswrapper tak vyhodilo toto :
FATAL: Error inserting ndiswrapper (/lib/modules/2.6.17-10 generic/kernel/drivers/net/ndiswrapper/ndiswrapper.ko) : operation not perimtted

hlavne treba do /etc/modules pridat (dopisat ) bcm43xx a z oficialnej stranky Aceru stiahnut ovladace : ftp://ftp.support.acer-euro.com/notebook/aspire_3100_5100_5110/driver/802bg_broadcom_v4.10.40.0.zip
je to cca 75mb ...
tie treba rozbalit do /home/menouzivatela/priecinok a pokracovat z navodu ale namiesto WMP54GS.inf tam napisat bcmwl5.inf
1. cd /home/menouzivatela/priecinok
2. ndiswrapper -i WMP54GS.inf
3. ndiswrapper -l
4. ndiswrapper -m
a potom restart (neviem ci je nutny ) a skusit napr. KWifiManager
snad to niekomu pomoze ;)

to Lubomirus: diky, pomohlo mi to. konecne aspon vidim zarizeni ve spravci. ale stejne mi zatim nenajde zadnou sit. windows ji na tom stejnym miste najdou, ale kubuntu ani tuk...

ja mam ten isty problem so sietovou kartou Boardcom 802.11g Network Adapter neviete mi poradit ako to rozbeham a ci sa to vobec da s touto sietovou kartou?????

Dá. Už mi to dlouhou dobu běhá ke vší spokojenosti. Vyřešil jsem to přes ndiswrapper jak je uvedeno výše. Wifi karta se sice tváří že běží, ale nic nenajde. To je způsobeno tím, že je sofwarově vypnutá. Musel jsem nainstalovat acerhk - Acer Hot keys a nakonfigurovat je. Všechny návody jsou buďto tady na fóru, nebo se toulají jinde po netu. Všechno mi teď funguje. GL
