Dobrý den. Prosím o radu. Mám Ubuntu 12.04 a nedaří se mi upravit rozlišení na přihlašovací obrazovce. Po přihlášení do svého účtu nastavení upravit lze buď v menu: displeje nebo v terminálu. Obojí ale nepůsobí na přihlašovací obrazovku. Monitor mi pak píše out of range. Počítač slouží pro 2 osoby a tak jsem nucen se přihlašovat poslepu :-( Nevíte někdo, jak změnit toto rozlišení? Děkuji Honza

Když to zkusím podle toho obvodu co je v tom odkazu, tak mi terminál napíše, že nejde nastavit defaultní rozlišení, protože monitor je mimo možné parametry. Ale přitom v mém profilu se ukazuje obraz ok. Na přihlašovací obrazovce vidím stále jen out of range.

Výpisy dávej do [*code*] [*/code*] (bez těch hvězdiček!!!) slouží k tomu také tlačítko se symbolem # které je nad :-X nad oknem psaní příspěvku, je to pak mnohem přehlednější. ;-)

gksudo gksudo gedit /etc/default/grub a v souboru odkomentuj řádek #GRUB_GFXMODE=640x480 aby to vypadalo takhle GRUB_GFXMODE=640x480 ulož, a pak sudo update-grub

A když to upravím přímo v GRUB, tak to prostě jednoduše nepůsobí. Mám i Boot up manager, tam ale není moje rozlišení k mání a když si zvolím svoje, tak také out of range.
Ale přitom po přihlášení do mého profilu obraz jde a volba 1366x768 je dokonce i přednastavena. Ale přihlašovací obrazovka prostě ne... :( :( :(

Nevím, proč píše, že je to mimo rozsah. Možná není detekován monitor, takže by snad pomohlo vytvořit xorg.conf a nastavit to ručně.

Jsem tu nový, ikdyž ubuntu mám 6 let :-) Jinak, když jsem přihlášen v profilu, tak v klasickém nastavení displeje tato možnost je a i to samo pozná ten monitor a obraz je ok. Ale prostě přihlašovací obrazovka out of range a nijak to nejde upravit... Bohužel nevím, jak vytvořit to, cos psal. Nejsem vůbec PC odborník, ale naopak :-)

A co na to Jan Tleskač?
Ano, má driver ati, tak jako každý po instalaci. Ale za druhé ho fakticky nemá, viz níže (měl by se teoreticky použít r128). Pokud by hodil aty128fb na blacklist, mohl by se dočkat místo grafiky černoty (pokud by nezafungoval nějaký jiný ovladač, třeba vesa). Více řekne log, ale myslím, že je to moc staré železo a aty128fb je nejvhodnější ovladač.

Aha, já myslel, žes to pochopil:). V reflexu vychází takovej satirickej comics zelený raoul a na konci toho komixu je vždycky spousta otázek a vždy to končí otázkou "a co na to Jan Tleskač?", no a těmi svými otazníky jsi mi to připomněl:).

Na askubuntu píše o nějakým bugu, ale já si ničeho nevšiml..Snad tím myslel, že po letech nahradili xaa exa akcelerací...
Možná naradit "ati" v xorg.conf přímo r128:
Driver "r128"
Opět mrknout do /var/log/Xorg.0.log

Nainstaloval jsem Ubuntu 12.04 úplně znovu. Takže je systém jako nový. Ale stejně je zase na přihlašovací obrazovce out of range. Samozřejmě po přihlášení se poslepu obraz naskočí normálně. Tak to asi nějak nedává ten počítač.
