Ahoj,

I suggest the following solution procedure:
1) run the following commands in a Terminal using a working, WIRED, Internet connection:
sudo apt-get remove b43-fwcutter firmware-b43-installer
sudo apt-get remove bcmwl-kernel-source
2) blacklist the wl driver in the /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf file by adding this configuration line:
blacklist wl
You can edit the file /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf using this command:
sudo gedit /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf
After editing the /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf file, make sure to save the change.
3) undo the blacklisting of the following lines in the /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf file:
blacklist brcmsmac
blacklist bcma
You can edit the file /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf using this command:
sudo gedit /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf
Using the gedit editor, scroll down and DELETE the following configuration lines:
blacklist brcmsmac
blacklist bcma
There are THREE occurrences of
blacklist brcmsmac
and FOUR occurrences of
blacklist bcma
You need to DELETE all occurrences of these blacklist configuration lines in /etc/modprobe.d/
After editing the /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf file, make sure to save the change.
4) access the homepage of the wireless router using a web browser and using a wired Internet connection (using a LAN cable) and force the wireless router to use Wireless-G (54 Mbps) transmission speeds
5) access the homepage of the wireless router using a web browser and change the wireless transmission channel to channel 8
To summarize, I am advising you to disable the wl wireless driver and replace it with the brcmsmac and bcma drivers, which are currently blacklisted (=disabled) on your PC.
