Používám wifi kartu do pcmcia Gigabyte GN-WLMR101 (RTL8180L). V Kubuntu 6.10 mi jela hned po instalaci systému bez problémů. V 7.04 mě ovšem karta nefunguje, mohli byste mi prosím někdo poradit jak postupovat popřípadě sem dát nějaký link? Díky

Mě by se hodilo upřesnit jak nefunguje...
a pár výpisů
dmesg po zapojení, ifconfig apod.

Podle vypisu to vypada ze WIFI karta byla spravne detekovana, ovladac zavedeny, a dokonce se to pripojilo do nejake site LukasNet. Pouze protestuje proti chybejici konfiguraci IPv6, co by zde nemelo mit za nasledek uplny vypadek spojeni.
Ciste nahodou: FireHOL nepouzivate?
Ve vypisu jsou mraky chyb komunikace s diskem, zkuste ho zkontrolovat nejakym vhodnym nastrojem. Toto opet nesouvisi s wifi, ale mohlo by se jednat o predzvest nejakych vaznejsich problemu na disku.

Děkuju za pohotovou odpověď, zkusím to nějak přelouskat a snad se mi to nějak povede rozjet.. jinak zůstanu u 6.10 (což ovšem není řešení).

Ja si vždy odinštalujem network manager, lebo mi robí problémy. A sieť si aj tak konfigurujem ručne.

U mě nakonec byl problém v nastavení AP, kde jsem měl zvoleno "hide SSID" ... kvůli tomu nejprve nebylo vidět AP vůbec (logicky) ale našel jsem ho pomocí balíčku Wifi-radar. I potom ale neproběhlo připojení. Takže to asi network manageru vadí...
Teď jsem stejně spokojený s FF, jako ten druhý chlapík. WIFI kartu Ubuntu rozeznalo samo a nainstalovalo ovladače. Heslo stačí zadat jen jednou a uložit do Správce klíčenek. Jediné co nefunguje je klávesová zkratka Fn+F5, která by měla wifi odpojit, ale to už je do jiného vlákna. Díky :)

Hm, je pravda ze nejste prvni, kdo hlasi problem s prihlasenim do site se skrytym ESSID.

Taky používám skryté SSID, nechtělo se to připojit k nalezené síti "hide SSID", tak jsem musel tu nalezenou síť přepsat na skutečný název sítě - asi to hned napadne každého, jen mi to trochu trvalo :). Teď už to funguje bez problémů.
