Před pár dny jsem na matčin počítač nainstalil 8.10 ubuntu a začal se trápit s rozlišením monitoru. Pořídila si totiž monitor benq G900HD s netypickým nativním rozlišením 1366 x 768. V menu "rozlišení monitoru" je nejvyšší rozlišení 800x600 tak jsem se jal editovat xorg.conf.
K mému udivení neobsahoval xorg.conf po instalaci prakticky nic:

Po restartu se nezměnilo vůbec nic, rozlišení pořád na 800x600 žádné vyší rozlišení nebylo zpřístupněno, nic. Zkoušel jsem spoustu věcí, upravoval jsem xorg.conf jako divej a zkoušel postupovat podle několika různých návodů ale k výsledku jsem se nedobral.
Takže jsem nakonec udělal novou čistou instalaci Ubuntu 8.10 a volám o pomoc. Doufám že je problém jenom někde mezi židlí a klávesnicí.
