Připojení USB-N11 - vyřešeno

Dobrý den! Pořídil jsem si Wireless ASUS USB-N11 k notebooku ASUS A4L. Je určeno pro Windows, MAC OS, ale hlavně i pro Linux. Bohužel při zasunutí do USB se sice rozsvítí zelená dioda, ale notebook ho nedetekuje, tváří se, že neexistuje. I když po příkazu lsusb mi vypíše:

Uff! Když na mě promluvíš anglicky, budu myslet, že jsi Marťan. Ale číst se trochu snažím.

Dva dny opakovaného pročítání a snahy pochopit. Ovladače mám, předpokládám, nainstalovány. Ale můj problém to nijak nevyřešilo:

Díky oběma, jde o stejný odkaz, podle návodu mám ovladač nainstalovaný. Přesto se USB-N11 dál tváří jako "mrtvý brouk". Tohle je jediná známka přítomnosti v PC:

Díky za snahu. Vyřešil jsem situaci použitím Virtualboxu, v Linuxu se tím budu prodírat dál. I když zatím je výsledek mizerný, po několika dnech jsem v orientaci a chápání malých krůčků v Linuxu přece jen o kousek dál. A vovovotomtoje...  

Heuréka! V tomto tématu je asi 72 stran. Tak jsem to vzal pěkně odzadu a zkoušel. A ejhle! Nejlepší byla docela prozaická rada: Nainstalovat znovu ovladač, ale ne přímo, ale pomocí ndiswraperu. Zkusil jsem, dal restart a ještě před dokončením restartu už na mě blikal modem ve snaze připojit se. Takže shrnuto - je dobré se ptát, rady jsou k nezaplacení, ale hlavně hledat a snažit se pochopit. A proto díky nejen těm, kteří se ozvali a dávali rady, ale i těm, co mě v tom nechali koupat.
