Verzia Ubuntu v termináli a distribučné updaty Xubuntu

Ako zistím v termináli, akú mám verziu Ubuntu? Keďže mám Xubuntu a nemám tam položku "O (x)Ubuntu. Používal som Beta verziu a doteraz mi neponúkol distribučný upgrade, ani sa mi nezobrazuje v tray ikona, že sú dostupné aktualizácie.

Nepoznate, jestli mate Ubuntu 7.04 Alfa, beta1, beta2, beta3, nebo finalni verzi. Porad se jedna o tutez verzi Ubuntu, jen s ruzne cerstvymi aktualizacemi. XFCE bohuzel neznam takze neumim poradit, jak zprovoznit upozornovani na nove dostupne aktualizace.

V terminalu ale muzete provest aktualizaci systemu na soucasnou verzi zadanim

to mi je jasné, to je to isté ako keď to spravím cez GUI "Správca aktualizácií". Žiadne updaty, proste nič už asi 14 dní, jeto možné?

Ne, to je nepravdepodobne. Jen za posledni dva dny jsem mel nejmene pet aktualizaci.
Poslete vypis souboru /etc/apt/sources.list, pravdepodobne mate spatne nastavene zdroje.
