kubuntu special rozlišení

potřebuji v kubuntu změnit rozlišení. Rozlišení má být speciální proširokoúhlý notebook je to 1280x800.

nejhorší na tom je že v grafickém nastavování nejde prostě nic nastavit je to nějaký divný. v normálním ubuntu bychvěděl jak na to. udělal bych to normalně pomoví editace xorg.conf přidal bych tam to rozlišení a poté bych ho změnil v nastavením grafickém.

když tento postup udělám v kubuntu tak se mi to v grafickém nastavení neobjeví.

... mě se v Ubuntu ty volby nastavení v GUI objevili až po "divné" modifikaci (nejen doplnění patřičných rozlišení a bar. hloubky), ale až po rozšíření freq. rozsahu v xorg.conf na "divné" hodnoty =)

Je to stejné jako v ubuntu. Jde o grafický server, nikoliv destopové prostředí. Když zedituješ xorg.conf a zrestartuješ grafický server, musí být zména patrná.

Tohle je sice z jiné mašiny, ale také zde 19"LCD neumělo 1280*1024 ani po doplnění do modes, teprve modifikace/rozšíření freq. rozsahů u monitoru pomohlo...

Teď nevím, jestli je to část tvého xorg nebo jen ukázka, kterou část jsi modifikoval?
Pokud je to tvůj konfigurák, tak tam to požadované 1280*800 v modech vůbec nemáš.

Co tam máš v té sekci freq. rozsahů monitoru? (HorizSync/VertRefresh)... u mě v tom byl problém, při rozsahu tuším 60Hz v konfiguráku (DVI LCD) mi to těch 1280*1024 nenabízelo (přestože v modech jsem to dopsal)... tak jsem tam přihodill "pár Hz" a OK... teď běhá i na 60 Hz =)
