and rerun
./scanModem

a Conexant modem chip, not supported by the ALSA modem driver snd-intel8x0m,

sudo modprobe -r snd-intel8x0m
sudo modprobe snd-intel8x0m
Then rerun
./scanModem
If displayed, Ignore his message on the next run.
