Nízká obnovovací frekvence monitoru

Dobrý den,

rád bych Vás poprosil o pomoc s mým problémem. Jsem majitelem notebooku Acer Aspire 3810TZ. Po instalaci Ubuntu 10.10 jsem zjistil, že obnovovací frekvence na mém monitoru zcela jistě není 60Hz (když stáhnu podsvícení, je vidět jak monitor bliká, při plném podsvícení to tolik vidět není, nicméně oči tím znatelně trpí - bolí), ačkoliv v nastavení monitoru je tato hodnota nastavena (není tam na výběr ani žádná jiná).

Zkoušel jsem tuto frekvenci nastavit i v doinstalovaném správci compizu, ale neúspěšně (ať jsem zkusil nastavit obnovovací frekvenci na 10 Hz nebo na 100 Hz, chování monitoru se nijak nezměnilo - monitor si blikal pořád stejně). Podle jiného návodu jsem ještě zkoušel ručně nastavit do souboru /etc/X11/xorg.conf (který jsem musel ručně vytvořit) hodnoty rozlišení a obnovovací frekvence, dle výstupu z příkazu: gtf 1366 768 60.0. Tento postup bohužel také nezabral. Soubor xorg.conf jsem proto opět zrušil

Při zkoumání tohoto problému jsem narazil také na problém, že příkaz glxgears mi ukazuje hodnoty FPS kolem 59 FPS. Nicméně výstup příkazu glxinfo | grep direct mi říká, že podpora přímého vykreslování existuje. Grafická karta, kterou můj notebook obsahuje je Intel GMA 4500MHD.

Pokud by někoho napadlo něco, čím by to mohlo být, tak bych moc ocenil, kdyby mi pomohl. Pro úplnost zasílám výstup příkazu grep WW /var/log/Xorg.0.log a ještě kompletní výpis souboru /var/log/Xorg.0.log

U LCD to vypadá jako dost neobvyklá závada. Možná to není v samotné obnovovací frekvenci obrazu, ale jen v jeho LED podsvícení.

V téhle recenzi to zmiňují taky: http://netbooked.net/netbook-reviews/review/13.3-acer-aspire-timeline-3810t-core-2-solo-su3500-review/ ... Jestli je tak znát a zároveň to není v Ubuntu, ale v notebooku samotném, tak je to dost úchylné.

Při zkoumání tohoto problému jsem narazil také na problém, že příkaz glxgears mi ukazuje hodnoty FPS kolem 59 FPS.
Rekl bych, ze to nebude problem, ale vlastnost. Zvlast, pokud to pise stejnou hlasku jako me, tedy, ze jede synchronizovane s vertikalni obnovovaci frekvenci:

Děkuji za odpovědi. Bohužel nevím jak poznám, zda to je v podsvícení samotném nebo v obnovovací frekvenci. Nicméně pod Windows (konkrétně Windows 7) si žádných takovýchto defektů nevšimnu. Proto jsem bral, že to bude něco s nastavením v Ubuntu. Také to může být tím, že Acer podporuje jen Windows, nikoliv Linuxové distribuce. Ještě mě napadlo, zda jsem ten xorg.conf nenastavil nějak špatně. Nastavoval jsem to podle této předlohy, která je z webu https://help.ubuntu.com/community/AspireTimeline/Fixes:

Jen jsem do sekce Monitor přidal atribut Modeline, podle výstupu příkazu gtf 1366 768 60.0. Do sekce Device jsem ještě přidal atribut Driver "intel". Navíc mě udivuje, že když jsem nastavoval onu obnovovací frekvenci v compiz manageru třeba na hodnotu 5Hz, tak jsem nic neviděl. Vím, že LCD nepracuje jako CRT? ale při tak nízké obnovovací frekvenci bych něco vidět měl (například trhaný obraz), ne?

No zkoušel jsi někdy nastavit sw 5Hz na CRT? Co to dělalo? Ignorovalo.
Vyřešená vlákna je vhodné uzavřít "Topic Solved" dole pod vláknem.

Prosím označit text kódu v editoru # pro lepší formátování textu případného výpisu. Děkuji.

To jsem nezkoušel. Takovéhle extrémy mě napadli až v souvislosti s tímhle problémem. Bohužel ale nevím co jiného s tímto dělat. Konkrétní problém jsem nikde na internetu bohužel nenašel a nikdo z mého okolí taky neví co s tím. Pokud to není nastavením monitoru / grafické karty, tak to pak bude hold špatnou HW podporou. Nicméně nechápu proč jsem nikde tento problém nenašel. Po pravdě jsem tedy čekal, že budu mít problém jinde, než s blikáním monitoru...

Ano, to co jsem psal v predeslem postu byla jen predloha kterou jsem pouzil a do ktere jsem doplnil ty informace, ktere jsou napsane pod tou predlohou. Pro prehlednost jsem do meho prvniho prispevku hodil obsah souboru xorg.conf tak, jak jsem ho nastavil ja. Kdybyste byl tedy tak hodny, a mrknul se mi na to tam. Predem dekuji.

Jsem idiot... Cpal jsem do xorg.conf špatné rozlišení monitoru. Správné rozlišení je 1366 x 768. Ale opravdu jsem to tak (s těmi špatnými hodnotami) nacpal do souboru xorg.conf. To se tedy divím, že se neobjevil nějaký jiný problém (špatné zobrazení).

Edit: Tak ne. Problém je trochu jinde. Když dám příkaz gtf 1366 768 60, tak výstup tohoto příkazu je:

Až budu doma, zkusím ještě výstup do externího monitoru (jak vypadá). Také mě napadá, zda nemůže být nějaký problém se samotným podsvícením? Že se třeba rychle vypíná a zapíná nebo něco podobného? Pořád mi totiž nejde do hlavy, že by LCD samo o sobě jako takové blikalo (myslel jsem, že tohle dělalo jen CRT).

To se stane.  :)   ty dva pixely na sirku asi nejsou tak moc, tak to monitor zvladnul.

To ja skoro 2 roky zapasil s tim, ze mi monitor nesel v nativnim rozliseni - zobrazil sice spravne, ale neprijal ho jako nativni, takze nektere svisle cary byly "rozostrene". Nakonec jsem prisel na to, ze GTF dava jine hodnoty, nez EDID monitoru a kdyz jsem do xorg.conf napsal to, co bylo v Xorg.0.log vycucane z EDID, tak konecne monitor zobrazil ostra pismenka.

Když jsem ty hodnoty přepsal podle toho z Xorg.0.log, tak se to chová pořád naprosto stejně. Začínám se bát, že se to z toho xorg.conf vůbec nenačítá :-/

Stačí zakomentovat počátek řádku znakem na "klávese 3".
Vyřešená vlákna je vhodné uzavřít "Topic Solved" dole pod vláknem.

Prosím označit text kódu v editoru # pro lepší formátování textu případného výpisu. Děkuji.

Zakomentování provedeno, onen Warning z logu zmizel. Monitor ale pořád bliká, takže si myslím, že to s tím xorgem jako takovým nemá nic společného. Otázkou opravdu je, zda s tím má co dočinění grafická karta, nebo ovládání podsvícení. To ale opravdu netuším jak se nastavuje (to podsvícení). Zkusím někde opět hledat...

Tak ještě poslední poznatek, kterým toto v podstatě mohu ukončit. Vyzkoušel jsem ta jádra, na kterých to mělo podle výše zmíněného odkazu fungovat. Samozřejmě to nepomohlo. Problém je tedy možná u obou případu v blikání, ale u každého to blikání znamená něco jiného.

Jelikož má přítelkyně naprosto stejný model notebooku, zkusil jsem u ní spustit live verzi Ubuntu 10.10 (stejnou jako jsem zkoušel u mě) a co nevidím? U ní to ani nebliklo. Napadla mě poslední věc, a to provést u mě downgrade biosu na verzi, kterou tam má ona (měla verzi 1.20). Jelikož ani to nepomohlo a mě to pořád v Linuxu bliká (ve Windowsech to funguje bez problémů), beru to tak, že mám nejspíš s Linuxem smůlu. To, že to v Linuxu bliká a ve Windowsech ne nemá na reklamaci nárok a nic jiného mě opravdu už nenapadá.
