Problem s boot loaderem pri instalaci Kubuntu 11.10

Zdravim, pri instalacu kubuntu 11.10 mi asi na 64% vyskoci hlaska

"The ‘grub-efi’ package failed to install into /target/. Without the GRUB boot loader, the installed system will not boot."
Nejprve jsem zkousel instalovat jako "auto" - s automatickym parition managerem, pote jsem zkusil nastavit boot jako ext2, ext4, kde mount point logicky byl /boot a pote i jako "boot efi partition", kde se mount point nedal nastavit.

Rad bych vedel, jestli ve fazi, kdy doslo k vyskoceni te chybove hlasky, je system sam o sobe funkcni a staci vyresit jen grub (grub2) nebo je instalace na disku poskozena ( nedokoncena)

Instalace není poškozena, ale nenainstaloval se zavaděč, takže systém po restartu nenajede

Podle Googlu to vypadá na chybu v instalátoru...
Nejjednodušší asi bude nainstalovat holý systém a pak doinstalovat kubuntu-desktop...

Definuj prosim presneji "holy system".... Btw jak narocne by bylo nainstalovat ubuntu a do nej pak KDE - ziskal bych tim plnohodnotne kubuntu nebo nejaky bastl ani ubuntu, ani kubuntu? :-)

Možností je více, např.
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Installation/MinimalCD
podle návodu nainstaluj "minimální systém", a pak v tasksel vyber kubuntu-desktop (nebo něco podobného).

"Bastl" by vznikl nainstalováním kubuntu-desktop do Ubuntu (Gnome), taky to pár lidí tak používá.

Tak jsem to zkusil, a po restartu mi akorat blika cerna obrazovka. Tak jsem naboodoval livka a nainstaloval grub do sda6 dle:

Asi v intervalu 2 sekund se "standartni" cerna obrazovka" zesvetli, vlevo nahore blikne nejaky znak, ktery neni citelny a pak zpatky na "standartni cernou prazdnou obrazovku" takhle se to cyklicky neustale opakuje.

Neni treba lepsi nainstalovat ubuntu/kubuntu 11.04 a pak upgradovat na vyssi verzi, jestli treba instalace techto nizsich verzi byly mene problemove?

Edit:

S unity jsem si nejak neporozumel, proto jsem volil kubuntu. KDE se mi libi vic, nez gnome, ale neni to smerodatne - potrebuju rychle vyvijet na funkcnim systemu, coz ve windows nehrozi, proto se jeste ptam - kdyz si nainstaluju ubuntu 11.04, vypnu unity ( v teto verzi to slo zcela jednoduse), budu mit po upgradu na 11.10 stale ubuntu s gnome nebo se mi tam vpasuje zpatky unity? :-)

Zkus nainstalovat normalni ubuntu a do nej pak balik kubuntu-desktop.
Ve verzi 11.10 už je lightdm (login screen,. desktop manager), kterej si poradí s jiným prostředím (sám mám gnome shell, unity shell, kde, xfce, lxde). Při loginu klikneš na ozubené kolco vedle jména a dáš Pracovní plocha plasma.
Já to tak mám a jde to ok.

Pak k te cerne blikajici obrazovce, stale se mi nepodarilo to opravit ani preinstalovanim grubu, tohle je boot check:
