Nefunguje automount NTFS USB disku a detekce monitoru po upgrade na FF

Zdravim,
po upgrade kubuntu z EE na FF mi nechodi tyto dve veci

1) detekce monitoru - monitor jede max na 800x600@60Hz (predtim 1024x768@85), zjistil sem ze nefunguje detekce plug and play parametru monitoru, kdyz dam nastaveni systemu - monitor & display - hardware - administratorsky rezim - kliknu na nastavit monitor, tak vidim mimo jine plug n play, jenze detekuje parametry horizontal range - 28.0-33.0, vertical refresh - 43-72, coz je nesmysl. Nepomuze ani tlacitko detect monitor. Tento problem sem vyresil nastavenim monitoru natvrdo (vybral sem ze seznamu typ podobny memu a trochu jeste poupravil xorg.conf aby nesly pouzit rezimy ktere neumi), nicmene by se mi libilo kdyby to fungovalo jako predtim. Mam grafiku Nvidia Vanta s nesvobodnym ovladacem, direct rendering funguje bez problemu.

Pokud disk pripojim, zobrazi se okno s dotazem jaka akce se ma provest (otevrit v okne, upload do digikamu, nic), v titulku ma jmenovku toho disku (samsung7g), ale kdyz kliknu otevrit v novem okne, nestane se nic (ani se u mysi neobevi ikonka startujiciho konqueroru). Rucni pripojeni je bez problemu, funguje i zapis pres ntfs-3g. S flashkou ktera je FAT32 to funguje normalne. V fstabu nemam ohledne tech usb disku nastavene nic. V EE to fungovalo normalne jak pro ntfs tak fat32...

Na FF sem presel pres AlternateCD s tim, ze sem mu povolil dostahovat nejake baliky i z netu. Bez toho netu to hlasilo nejake problemy se zavisostmi a samotny upgrade se nekonal. Predtim sem to zkousel i jenom pomoci netu (pres adepta a tu nabidku co se tam obevila jak vyslo FF) ale to se nezdarilo, pri upgrade to spadlo, ale mel sem zalohu te partition, tak sem ji obnovil, stahl alternate a upgadoval z nej (protoze mam na net datovy limit a nechtel sem to stahovat xkrat v pripade, ze by to zase nevyslo, prece jen to je kolem 700MB). Pred tim upgrade pres alternate sem podle navodu tady naforu doinstaloval tusim update-manager nebo neco takoveho, aby to slo s kdesu, protoze pres gksudo se mi ten upgrade nespustil (gksudo sem doinstaloval).
