ovladace nvidia - zase a zase

Ahoj, mel jsem GeForce2, ale prisel jsem o ni, pak jsem pouzival maxtor kartu, nyni jsem ziskal GeForce4 MMX 64MB, a chci ji rozchodit, jenze me znovu zlobi rozliseni.
Po vsech moznych pokusech jsem pomoci nvidia-xconfig nechal vygenerovat cisty xorg.conf, sice mi ted blbne klavesnice ale to me netrapi. Presto prese vsechno mam rozliseni jen 800x600@60Hz.
Pri pouziti ovladace nv mi to fungovalo normalne, ani dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg nepomohlo, nevim si rady. Dekuju a prosim nekamenujte mne.
