ATI x1600Pro a Ubuntu 7.10cz 64-bit

Mám problém s grafickou kartou ATI x1600Pro.
Nainstaloval jsem UBUNTU 7.10cz 64-bit a nesvobodný ovladač ATI.
glxgears funguje v pořádku.

Problémy:
1) Černá obrazovka při fullscreen hrách.
2) Při přehrávání DivX je obraz posunut na obrazovce daleko mimo okno přehrávače.

Poradí někdo?

Tam se točí kostka s ozubenýma kolečkama jako o život, při defaultní velikosti okna kolem 900 fps. Žádná chybová hláška.

Bude to něco s rozlišením obrazovky, protože mi přestane na monitoru fungovat i tlačítko pro OSD se zobrazením aktuální frekvence.
Mám monitor SONY/SUN GDM 20E20, max. rozlišení 1280x1024 v 76 Hz, 1024x768 v 85Hz. Výrobce udává frekvence 30-82, 50-120, použil jsem nejbližší monitor ADI.
Všechny frekvence mimo základních: 640x480, 800x600, 1024x768, 1152x864, 1280x1024 jsem už z xorg.conf vyházel, a zatím pořád nic.
Standardně používám rozlišení 1280x1024 při 81kHz, 76Hz, které mi funguje.
Může někdo poradit, jak mám xorg.conf upravit, nebo něco jiného?

Problém se špatným obrazem u videa jsem již nějak vyřešil, zbývá problém s černou obrazovkou u fullscreen her.

Problém je ve špatně vybraném monitoru. Když zkusím nějaký s nižším rozlišením, tak fulscreen funguje.
Existuje nějaký nástroj, jak si můžu nějak interaktivně nastavit sám parametry monitoru?
