ASUS X51H a nefunkční Wi-Fi Atheros AR5006EG

Zdravím, jsem majitelem výše uvedeného NB s nainstalovaným Ubuntu 7.10 a WIFI adaptérem Atheros AR5006EG, který se ovšem ve WIN XP zobrazuje jako Atheros AR5007EG. Po nainstalování Ubuntu je tento adaptér nefunkční. Po zadan příkazu iwconfig dostanu výpis

. Podle návodu na adrese http://ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net/joomla/index.php?/component/option,com_openwiki/Itemid,33/id,installation/ jsem zkoušel wifi zprovoznit, ale jak to tak vypadá, tak se mi to nepodařilo. Po napsaní ndiswrapper -l dostanu

Btw: ve Správci nesvobodných ovladačů mám jeden driver: Atheros Hardware Access Layer (HAL) a standardně je povolen a používán.

Mám sice Asus X51R, ale taky s Atherosem. Mám ho povolený ve Správci nesvobodných ovladačů a nikde jsem nic nenastavoval a už vůbec ne pomocí ndiswrapperu. Jen jsem nastavil síť na ath0 a nastavil v bezdrátových sítích cestovní mód. A sám mi našel bezdrátové sítě a připojil jsem se...

Tak jsem to zkusil podle návodu na Wiki http://wiki.ubuntu.cz/Atheros_AR5007EG a po příkazu sudo make install dostanu tento výpis:

A má být zaškrnuto ve používání ovladače ve Správci nesvobodných ovladačů?

Tak už se zadařilo. Vše jsem musel provést ve složce /usr/src/linux-headers-2.6.22-14, ve které jsem provedl toto:

make clean
make
make install
modeprobe  ath_pci

Poté jsem restartoval PC a už se mi ukázaly dostupné sítě a zařízení wlan0.

Tak celý problém tkvěl v tom, že kompilátoru chyběly hlavičky souborů jako je například stdio.h nebo errno.h. Tudíž bylo potřeba stáhnout potřebný balíček (libc6-dev_2.3.6-0ubuntu20_i386.deb nebo libstdc++6-4.0-dev_4.0.3-1ubuntu5_i386), ve kterém dané soubory byly obsaženy. Poté už nic nebránilo kompilaci, instalaci a zavedení modulu ath_pci ,

byl by ste tak hodný a mohl se k tomu ještě vrátit? Mám vše stejné jako vy...jen jsem stáhl ty balíčky (podotýkám, že jsem Linuxář od včerejšího odpoledne) a nejdou mi po poklepání nainstalovat. Nějak přes terminál?
Píše mi to "Error: dependency is not satisfiable: libc6"

Tak jsem wifi atheros ar5007eg (win), která se v Ubuntu hlásí jako ar5006eg...nakonec rozchodil.

Ve zkratce to tu shrnu, třeba to někoho inspiruje správným směrem:
Instalace Ubuntu - pokus o instalaci madwifi (i poněkolikáté stále neúspěšně, časté hlášení různých erorů, které jsem jako začátečník samozřejmě neidentifikoval) - spásný nápad přišel. Připojit se přechodně kabelem (trvalo mi několik hodin než mě to napadlo :-) , to bylo bez problémů (poměrně často nezobrazil Firefox některé stránky vč. tohoto Ubuntu fóra) - v této fázi jsem se pokusil počeštit Ubuntu, což se nedařilo až do chvíle než jsem si v onom Add/remove programs, preferences (volby) nastavil, že povoluji stahování různých věcí z internetu (to si pročtěte) pak už to šlo ráz na ráz - instaloval jsem češtinu, v zápětí se mi nabídly aktualizace celého systému cca 275 Mb - no a po jejich nainstalování (samozřejmostí jsou nějaké ty restarty) jsem opět zkusil, tentokrát úspěšně nainstalovat madwifi (na stránkách Ubuntu je přesně zpracovaný postup, který je vynikající avšak úplným začátečníkům doporučuju ještě článek o zásadách Terminálu)
Doufám, že to třeba nějakého podobného začátečníka zbaví některých elementárních chyb.
