Externí klávesnice k notebooku [vyřešeno]

Připojil jsem si přes USB k notebooku klávesnici od PC a nechce fungovat. Na diskuzi jsem nenašel nic konkrétního, otevřel jsem si (gksudo gedit) a v něm xorg.conf v naději, že se v tom vyznám a zrovna to upravím. Rámcově rozumím, ale ani po přečtení manuálu nevím co doplnit, nahradit abych tam něco nevyprasil. Neporadili by jste mi někdo, pls? Teda doufám, že se to dá vyřešit tímto způsobem. Linux používám jako "normální" uživatel co přešel před rokem z Windows a do takovýchto nastavení jsem nikdy nelezl, takže se možná ptám jako úplný blbec, každopádně díky všem za případné rady!

Je to Compaq nx 7300 - celeron, 1GB RAM...

Když do terminálu napíšeš lsusb, je tam tvá klávesnice?

Zkusil jsem to a vyplivlo mě to tohle:

Takže tam není.

Ale myslím, že už jsem na to přišel. Hlavní problém bude v tom, že systém tu redukci z USB na klávesnici PS/2 nevidí, vůbec to nezdetekuje, takže pak se můžu snažit jak chci a nepřipojím to. Mělo by to toziž fungovat i na myš a ta s tím taky nechodí a v seznamu hardware se neukáže. Takže si koupím prostě USB klávesnici a myslím, že to bude chodit. Jakmile to provedu, tak dám vědět.

Takže jsem to vyřešil: UBUNTU buď nepodporuje redukci USB/PS2 anebo byla ta redukce vadná. S klávesnicí Genius Slimstar USB/PS2 to chodí na GG bez problémů a dokonce jsou podporovány hned po připojení některé multimediální klávesy, jako třeba otevření pošty, kalkulačka...
