Nemuzu najit balicek

Nemuzu nikde v Synapticu najit balicek sun-java6-plugin, nevite kde ho najit a jak ho  dostat do synapticu?

Upraveno. Vzdycky na to zapomenu, spis sem zvyklej, ze tam maji lidi navic nejake spatne zdroje nez na min.

Balík sun-java6-plugin není dostupný, ale jiný balík se na něj odkazuje.
To může znamenat že balík chybí, byl zastarán, nebo je dostupný
pouze z jiného zdroje

Teď si uvědomuju, že doma na noťasu mi taky nejde nainstalovat ze zdrojů. Ale neřešil jsem to, prostě ji nepotřebuju.

Obsažená v repozitáři by ale měla být. Možná to je jen chyba českého zrcadla. Zkuste nastavit zdroje na jiné. EN nebo DE.

Pripadne stahnout se vsema zavislotma z odkazu od Millhouse a naistalovat rucne.

PS: Neni nahodou soucasti instalace balicku ubuntu-restricted-extras?

Pokud se podíváte na http://packages.ubuntu.com/hardy/sun-java6-plugin
tak zjistíte že je v multiverse repozitářích, a to pouze pro 32bit

Takže pokud máte nainstalovánu 64bit. verzi tak zřejmě máte smůlu,
Pokud potřebujete nutně 64bit firefox tak můžete vyzkoušet http://packages.ubuntu.com/hardy/icedtea-java7-plugin
Další varianta by byla použít 32bit firefox a 32bit plugin (ale znamená to nějakou netriviální ruční práci navíc - zkuste pohledat nějaké howto "instalace 32bit aplikací do 64bit systému" - viz třeba http://www.abclinuxu.cz/forum/show/196866 a http://www.abclinuxu.cz/faq/aplikace/jak-pouzivat-32bit-aplikace-na-64bit-systemu )
A jako další možnost by bylo použít jiný prohlížeč než firefox (není potřeba java plugin aby bylo možné spouštět javu)
