Problém s 3D akcelerací, ATI HD3650, Ibex

Zdravím,
toto je můj příběh: Asi před rokem na jaře jsem si koupil novou kartu ATI Radeon HD3650, tu dobu jsem používal Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy. Nainstaloval jsem manuálně tehdejší aktuální ovladače FGLRX a všechno šlapalo. V sprnu jsem začal používat novou openSuse 11.0 na kterou jsem ovladače nainstaloval přes 1-Click Installer, opět všechno šlapalo. Když nedávno vyšla nová openSuse 11.1, nepodařilo se mi na ní nainstalovat FGLRX ovladač, zkoušel jsem vše možné, instaloval jsem opět manuálně, protože 1-Click instalace ješte není dostupná pro novou openSuse. Nepodařilo se mi to rozchodit, tak jsem si myslel že je to problém v nové openSuse tudíž jsem se vrátil na tu starou. K mému překvapení se mi ale opět nepodařilo nainstalovat FGLRX ovladač ani na openSuse kterou jsem předtím bezproblémově používal. Nepomohlo ani použití zazálohovaného funkčního xorg.conf. Nakonec jsem se rozhodl vyzkoušet nové Ubuntu protože je na něj více návodu apod. Na Ubuntu se mi opět nepodařilo rozjet 3D akceleraci, vyzkoušel jsem vše možné, http://wiki.cchtml.com/index.php/Ubuntu_Intrepid_Installation_Guide, návod na phonorixu, procházet různá fóra. Nakonec jsem dospěl k názoru, že to možná způsobuje nový ovladač, protože když jsem dříve instaloval starší distribuce logicky jsem použil tehdejší starší ovladače a ty fungovaly bezproblému. Samozřejmě jsem zkusil ovladače ze záři, starší ovladače ještě nepodporují nové Ubuntu. Ovladače ze záři 8.9 mi při instalace balíčku kernel-headers hodí chybu

Novější ovladače mi to nedělají. Glxgears mi hodí pouze 1200FPS avšak normálně mi háže kolem 8500 FPS.

Jestli jsi se nedíval sem, tak zkus metodou 2 ještě nainstalovat nejnovější ovladače.

Vyzkoušel jsem, návody se od sebe moc neliší. Dosáhl jsem stejného výsledku. 1200 FPS, jediná změna je ve výstupu fglrxinfo:

Jo, ale co nadělám, starší ovladače na Ibex neseženu a přeinstalovat zpět na openSuse už se mi moc nechce, ale možná mi nakonec nezbyde nic jinýho.

No, starší ovladače sice podle odkazu výše seženeš, ale ty nepodporují Xorg 7.4 (jenž je v Intrepid Ibex), takže bych je určitě nedoporučil instalovat. První verze podporující nový xorg je 8-11.

Je divný, že ti nové ovladače nefungují - s touhle kartou by problém být neměl. Zase na druhou stranu, test pomocí glxgears bych nepřecenoval. Zkus nějakou gamesu nebo něco, co potřebuje 3D akceleraci, nebo přímo nějaký benchmark (např. Lightsmark 2008 - prohledej fórum).

Taky zhruba do týdne asi vyjde nový ovladač 9-1, jenž by mohl pomoct.

Nakonec jsem vše vyřešil tím, že jsem přešel zpět na openSuse 11.0 a nainstaloval ovladače ATI Catalyst™ 8.7 z července. Když jsem zkoušel nainstalovat stejným postupem ovladače 8.12 tak mi 3D nefungovalo, tudíž ATI v těch nových ovladačí něco podělali, proto mi to nejelo. Díky za podporu, hezký den  ;)
