Dobrý den

Jak zprovozním v Ubuntu LaTeX, aby mi překládal s češtinou?

Ve Slackwaru a FreeBSD jsem to řešil tím, že jsem si vygeneroval vlastní fmt soubory a napsal skriptík, který spouštěl tex s potřebnými fmt.

Není v Ubuntu nějaká "elegantnější" cesta, nebo se do dělá také tak?

Zkusil sem to take podle toho odkazu, ael nejak se to nepovedlo.
některé písmena s akcentama chybí úplně některé jsou jiné např. é=Š atd.

No já nevím, ale nic takového jsem nemusel dělat...nainstaloval jsem a funguje, samozřejmě s \usepackage[czech]{babel} a \usepackage[utf8]{inputenc}. J

Asi máte vstupní soubor v kdování UTF-8? Potom si doinstalujte balík latex-ucf a upravte si hlavičku dokumentu.

prekonfiguroval jsem locales z UTF-8 na ISO-8859-2 a znova vygeneroval formaty csplain a cslatex, ale navic musim i v gedit rucne zadavat ukladani souboru do ISO-8859-2, protoze automaticky uklada do UTF-8 (to budu muset nekde najit a prepnout)

Přesně jak píše Botanicus,

\usepackage[czech]{babel}

pro české uvozovky ještě:

\catcode`\"=\active
\def"{\bgroup \quotedblbase \def"{\textquotedblleft \egroup}}

přeložit LaTeXem.
