Zasekl se disk během aktualizace

Mám veliký problém...
Během aktualizačního procesu se mě zasekl disk (občas nějak cvakne a vytuhne) a nedokončil aktualizaci.
Poslední, co se mě zobrazilo v konzoli (aktualizoval jsem pomocí Wiki přes konzoli) byla tota hláška:
Setting up metacity - common(2.16.3-Oubuntu)...
Když jsem restartoval PC, tak mě odmítá naběhnout X. Napíše to nějakou hlášku, že v server X nelze zapnout, nebo něco takovýho.
Nefunguje mě ani recovery mode (nebo jak se to píše). Dostanu se do konzole s právy root, ale to je všechno, co můžu.
Je nějaká šance na řešení, nebo musím reinstalovat?

Co znamená, že je to všechno? Znamená to, že systém nereaguje na příkazy nebo jste čekal zázračné prostředí, které vše samo opraví? Zkuste sem hodit výpis z xorg.conf, třeba pak budem moudřejší (pokud nemůžete z texťáku tak třeba z livka).

EndSectionJinak ne, že bych čekal zázračné prostředí, ale čekal jsem, že se mi alespoň podaří spustit startx. Jinak konzole funguje naprosto normálně, ale stejně nevím, co v ní mám dělat...

A ještě, v konzoli jsem zkusil spustit: sudo dpkg --configure -a. Zřejmě se to zaktualizovalo, ale během těch aktualizací, občas naběhla hláška, že server X nejde spustit a jestli chci zjistit příčínu, nebo něco tomu podobnému. Když jsem dal ano, tak se mi zobrazilo textový pole, ale žádný obsah. Pouze možnost exit.
