Monitor u hp 4710s problikává

Zdravím, mám problém s monitorem u laptopu 4710s (Ubuntu 9.04) - každých pár minut problikne. V Systém -> Volby -> Display nejde muj monitor rozpoznat, je možné, že je problikávání způsobeno tím, popř.  špatnou frekvencí? Frekvenci mám totiž nastavenou na60Hz a nejde změnit. Popř.: vyřešil by tento problém upgrade na 9.10? Do upgrade se mi moc nechce, protože když jsem měl na tomto laptopu nainstalovanou verzi 9.10 přímo z cd, tak mi nejela wifi a ani po připojení přes kabel mi nešlo najít ati drivery.

na tenhle příkaz mi to odepsalo: sudo: /etc/init.d/stroboskop: command not found
na ten druhej obdobně

FU si dělal prdel z Tebe a já z něj ;)

K věci: O jaký probliknutí jde? Jako že na chvilku zhasne podsvícení, nebo obraz zbělá, problikne tam třeba nějakej pruh,...?

Dej sem výpis lspci (ten příkaz spusť v Terminálu a vyblitej obsah hoď sem) a taky sem můžeš dát obsah /var/log/Xorg.0.log
Obojí dej mezi tagy [code] a [/code], ať tady není bordel.

BTW: Ty příkazy se mi nezdáli, to je pravda.

Jak to problikává? Problikne jako by "kříž" - střed má ve středu monitoru - vypadá to jako by se spojil horní a dolní panel a pak dva boční - protly se uprostřed monitoru a tak to blikne.

Doufám že mi budete umět poradit a díky za projevení snahy.

Pokud myslíš něco přez compiz, takne. Mám čistě Ubuntu 9.04 a Ati ovladače, co se mi "samy nabídli". Žádné jiné programy, či cokoli co nějak ovlivnuje grafiku a monitr jsem nestahoval a ani neinstaloval/nezapínal.

Změnil jsem v xorg.conf Targetrefresh na 62Hz (z 60Hz) a zdá se že monitor jede jak má (předtím jsem zkoušel 57Hz a jel takycelkem dobře), takže problém byl v obnovovací frekvenzi zřejmě. Díky za projevenou snahu ;)
