BCM4312 ubuntu 9.10->10.4 Interface doesnt support.. [vyřešeno]

Zdravíčko,
přeinstalovala jsem si ubuntu 9.10 z 8.04 a přestala mi fungovat wi-fi. Přes synpatic jsem si stáhla ovladače na moji síťovou kartu

bcmlwl-kernel-source a b34-fwcutter, čímž jsem tedy donutila svůj stroj uvědomit si, že nějakou wifi kartu vůbec má. Moje radost z objevení eth1

zhatil fakt, že není schopná detekovat jakoukoli síť a píše mi toto:

eth1      Interface doesn't support scanning.

Nevíte někdo co s tím? S linuxem jsem se nedostala ani k francouzáku. Vůbec mu nerozumim a jakýkoli návod je pro mě jako urgofinština zpívaná japoncem při tančení kozáčka.
Předem dík každému, kdo se pokusí mě udělat o něco gramotnější.

No , asi niečo vieš, keď si sem poslala relevantné výpisy... Asi ti chýba potrebný firmware, ten si stiahneš automaticky (ale musíš mať pripojenie na internet cez sieťovú kartu) tak , že klikneš na > Systém>Správa>Ovladače Hardware, a  povolíš wifi zariadienie, reboot a hotovo.Malo by to šlapať "out of box".Dneska to už všetko funguje cez klikačku.

Tak jsem znovu odinstalovala a nainstalovala bcmlwl-kernel-source a b34-fwcutter, právě ten b34-fwcutter se tváří jako ten firmware (ať je to, co je to), resp. při instalaci se ptá, jestli má firmware instalovat. Ať jsem postup opakovala několikrát ve snaze přemluvit ho k poslušnosti, tak se nic nezměnilo a wifi mi pořád hlásí "Interface doesn't support scanning". Je nějaká možnost, jak zjistit, jestli  firmware je nainstalovaný správně...či nějaké jiné možnosti, které by potvrdily nebo vyloučily, že chyba je/není ve špatném firmwaru?

když už jsme u těch oken:

- tady někde mám ještě wifi povolovat? nebo jsi myslel povolit obecně v biosu?

Tak tato karta by mala makať Out of box, ale viac by nam povedal výpis dmesg. Ale bude velmi dlhý tak ho vlož do tagu

Dúfam že tomu trochu rozumieš  Ale bez inštalácie b43-fwcutter.

Ještě k těm ovladačům hardware. Když ho otevřu, vyskačí na mě hláška o procesu: "Searching for available drivers..." to je to, co jsi myslel tím :

Nuž len to nehaj pokračovať a ono si to naťahá "svoje" ale musiš byť online.

Chjo, tak jediným výsledkem bylo, že ačkoli to vypadalo, že je ovladač aktivní, tak se mi vůbec neobjevil eth1 v sítích. Až po odebrání a znovu aktivování ovladače se ke mně eth1 vrátil. Bohužel problém přetrvává.

narazila jsem na tenhle link : http://ubuntuforums.org/archive/index.php/t-1367526.html ale tak nějak už nejsem schopná dneska postihnout, co že to tam vlastně dělají, proč a jestli mi to může být užitečné.

jinak mě taky udivuje, že v tom výpisu dmesg se píše:

2. Systém>Správa>Ovládače hardware , povol ovladač sta ("Searching for available drivers..." )
3. sudo reboot ten reboot je podstatný a byť online.
Samozrejme sú aj iné alternatívy(ndis, b43 a fungujú), ale toto je nenáročné klikanie    
Ak máš inštalačné cd live, vyskúšaj to priamo v livku, ak tam pobeží wifina musí bežať aj v systéme

Vývoj:
Včera jsem konzultovala problém s kamarádem a přišel z hypotézou, že je problém možná v tom, že mám staré jádro. Doporučil, abych upgradovala na 10.4., bohužel problém se nevyřešil. Při prvním spuštění hardwarových ovladačů se mi tam zobrazili dva, jeden tušim broadcom 34 a druhý Broadcom STA. Aktivovala jsem Broadcom STA. (Když jsem se tam pak později vracela, už tam byl jen Broadcom STA)Všechno zůstalo při starém. V synapticu jsem si nainstalovala:

a tak nejak jsem doufala, ze ac netusim, k cemu ty veci jsou, tak se to treba podari.

chvíli jsem si hrála podle http://wireless.kernel.org/en/users/Drivers/b43#fw-bcm43xx

pak jsem zkontrolovala fórum a postupovala jsem podle návodu:

Postup jsem opakovala a HLE!!!
Když po restartu nabíhal systém, zahlásil mi to nějaký problém s ovladačem, chvilku si přemýšlel a když pc naběhnul, tak mi wicd našel moc krásné a sympatické wifi sítě.

Dík moc za pomoc, ještě kdybych mohla poprosit o nějaký komentář, co jsem vlastně těmi příkazy dělala a proč a proč že to nakonec mělo pomoci? Nechci být linuxová pijavice do konce života.

tak, to je tedy opravdu zajímavé. Wicd vidí sítě, ale když dám iwlist scanning, tak mi to pořád hlásí Interface doesn't support scanning ...

Hm, mne sa zdá , že ty sakra dobre vieš, čo robíš  , tie tvoje  vlákna sú  k veci ,sú jasne zrozumitelné, a to ešte si aj sama vieš poradiť nejakými príkazmi. Mne sa nezdá , že by si bola nejaká začiatočníčka. Ale , odpoveď pre teba:

Choose the Broadcom STA wireless driver
Activate

Sometimes the driver does not show up in the Hardware Drivers choices.  In
this case, try reintalling the driver from the GUI or shell like this:

From the GUI:
Package Manager (System>Administration>Synaptic Package Manager). Click the
Reload button in the upper left corner of Synaptic to refresh your index then
search for and reinstall the package named bcmwl-kernel-source.

From the shell:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get --reinstall install bcmwl-kernel-source

In either GUI or text case, after reinstalling, reboot your machine.

Now go back to System->Administration->Hardware Drivers
and you should see the driver enabled and working. Teda vsetko spočívalo v reinstalu sta drivera. Rozobera sa to napr. tu http://www.ubuntumini.com/2009/11/broadcom-wireless-driver-fix-in-karmic.html

A nevíš, proč že se nejdřív mají stahnout aktualize? Pokud jsou to aktualizace (sudo apt-get update)

Začátečník jsem, sice jsem měla Ubuntu 8.10 asi 3/4 roku, ale taky jsem měla spoustu práce, tak jsem pc používala jen na provozní věci typu oo, gimp, internet a maily...Když byl problém, většinou někdo musel přijít a vyřešit ho, protože tenkrát jsem se na fórech ztrácela ještě víc, než dneska. Dneska se taky ztrácim, ale řikám si, že když už jsem si pořizovala linux, abych zvýšila svoji počítačovou gramotnost, tak je na čase důsledněji se do toho nořit (aspoň lehce v rámci mého vzácného času). To, že jsem tady vyhodila nějaké relevantní příkazy je proto, že než jdu někoho otravovat na fórum, tak se snažim nejdřív vyřešit problém pomocí už existujících vláken,kde jsem si vytipovala, co by se tak mohlo hodit. Toť vše Ještě jednou díky

Nemusia, ale na druhú stranu tým nič nepokazíš.
Z tvojho prístupu by si ostatný BFU mali vziať príklad.
