Grub versus grub 2

Chtěl bych se podělit o několik zkušeností a požádat o pomoc. Užívám na svém PC celkem 5 dister, Sabayon 5.3 KDE, Kubuntu 10.10., openSUSE 11.3., PCLinuxOS a Mandrivu 2010.1. Problém je ale s grubem. Pouze Sabayon a Kubuntu najdou při instalaci všechna ostatní distra a zahrnou je do grubu. Ovšem ne správně. U směrování na jednotlivé oddíly disku je u initrd číslo oddílu nesprávné, např. místo hd 0,5 je hd 0,4. Já to musím v krusaderu přepsat, nakopírovat do etc/default/grub a pak ona distra bootují. Myslím si, že jde o konflikt mezi grubem a grubem 2 ale zřejmě nejen to. Věděl by někdo, čím je onen problém způsoben a jak jej systémově řešit? Děkuji. :)

Může to být tím, že grub, který používáš nezná ext4, který mají některý oddíly.
Pokud vám vaše holka či manželka funguje jak má, neměňte jí za mladší, zaděláte si na problém. Stejně to dělejte i s Ubuntu.

Ty distra mají ext4 všechna, tím to nebude.
