rozlišení tty

Ahoj, vím že už jsem to tu jednou řešil, ale pořád se to zdá být problém.
Mluvím o tom jak změnit rozlišení tty konzole, po nainstalování ovladačů nVidia?
Už jsem tu řešil jak změnit rozlišení plymouth pro ubuntu 12.04 64bit, myslím že jsme dospěli k závěru, že to nejde a přesto se mi to povedlo spuštěním nějakého skriptu, který jsem už bohužel znovu neobjevil.
Trochu jsem to googlil, návodů jsem našel hodně, ale žádný pro display 16:9, 1366x768.
Nevíte někdo jak na to?

Konzole přebírá nastavení z GRUBu, pokud chceš větší písmenka musíš v GRUBu nastavit menší rozlišení, což samozřejmě ovlivní i Plymouth

No jde právě o to, že ho změním, ale nic se nestane.

Vypadá to, že máš nastaveno správně.

Je potřeba ale udělat ještě maličkost:

to už jsem prováděl 3x a nefunguje :-D
v boot.cfg je to zapsané...

    Karmic Koala has switched to GRUB 2, and now the settings can be found in the file /etc/default/grub

    Resolutions available to GRUB 2 can be displayed by typing vbeinfo in the GRUB 2 command line. The command line is accessed by typing "c" when the main GRUB 2 menu screen is displayed. (Hold the left shift key pressed before ubuntu loads to access it)
    Open /etc/default/grub with your text editor with root privilege.

    Add the following new line using your preferred resolution-depth from the list that vbeinfo gave you. It should be like this if you have a 1280x800 screen:

     GRUB_GFXPAYLOAD_LINUX=1280x800

    Save the file and exit. (If you can't save the file you haven't opened it as root, go back and execute gksudo gedit /etc/default/grub providing your password.)
    Execute the command

     sudo update-grub
    Restart your computer.

Můžeš zkusit, jestli to vezme jiné hodnoty?

například:
800×600
1024×768

Možná je problém, že tvoje karta toto rozližení neumí skrze VBE, viz:

you can use only modes which your graphic card supports via VBE

Na stránkách wikipedie uvádějí možná rozlišení:

Graphics modes    320×200    640×400      640×480    800×600    1,024×768    1,280×1,024

Nebo

Other commonly available graphics modes

Je tam toho více, ale rozlišení, které požaduješ, tam fakt nevidím.

GRUB nebere hodnoty rozlišení 16:9, ale pouze 4:3 a 16:10 (v omezené míře)
