CPU nepodporuje PAE

Zdravím komunitu.

Potřebuji poradit. Instalace Lubuntu mi zkolabuje hned na začátku s hlášením, že cpu nepodporuje PAE. Je tam i rada podívat se v zavádění po parametru "forcepae". Ten jsem však nikde neviděl, takže kdyžtak, kde ho najdu nebo jaký parametr připsat do řádku, abych PAE vypnul. Něco jako:

Tak jsem hledal a hledal a nenašel jsem ni zmínku, že by to takhle jednoduše šlo. Vypadá to, že je prostě kernel stavěn s podporou (tedy spíše s diktátem, což mi přijde zvlášť u odlehčených dister logický jak naše byrokracie) PAE anebo ne. Na druhou stranu jsem našel zmínku o tom parametru a říkal jsem si, že když se to dřív tím parametrem zapínalo ta podpora, tak by se mohla i vypnout. Ale hledám, hledám a o tomhle nic.

Jen jsem našel zmínku o tom, že do nějaké verze snad ještě kernel vyžadující PAE nebyl. Nicméně jeden uživatel zde psal, že měl na ntb 12.04 a na tom fungoval, pak se pokusil nainstalovat 12.10 - to mu nešlo právě kvůli pae, tak chtěl znovu nainstalovat 12.04 a tomu už nešlo taky z důvodu pae. Takže buď se na 12.04 předtím dostal pomocí povýšení, nebo 12.04 bylo víc verzí s jiným základním kernelem. Jenže se také píše o tom, že když se instaluje bez PAE a chce se povýšit, že to pak neproběhne kvůli novým kernelům úplně a dělá to pak neplechu.

Dále jsem našel zmínku o nějakém "miniiso" či "alternativním iso" a to by prý mohla být cesta.

Může mi někdo prosím potvrdit či vyvrátit první či něco k tomu doplnit a navést mě jak pracovat s druhým ?

Normal usage

The minimum specification for CPU is Pentium 4 or Pentium M or AMD K8.

Older processors are too slow and AMD K7 has problems with flash video.

Pentium M and Celeron M

Community 're-spins' based on 12.04 LTS (the original, before the point releases) can have a non-pae kernel and work out of the box. Examples: Bento, Bodhi, LXLE with support until April 2017. Notice that Lubuntu 12.04 has passed end of life.

Systems based on Ubuntu 12.04.5 LTS 'Precise' can be installed in Pentium M and Celeron M computers using fake-PAE. This can be done using the One Button Installer or Lubuntu-fake-PAE.

Lubuntu 14.04 LTS 'Trusty' and newer versions can use the boot option forcepae and can be installed using the standard installers.

After selecting language you arrive at the main menu of the installer. Click on F6

At the boot menu screen the options are

    Try Lubuntu without installing (in the desktop installer but not in the alternate installer]
    Install
    ...

With the Install choice high-lighted press F6. (This option needs less RAM than installing from 'Try Lubuntu')

A menu with a number of options appears. The option 'forcepae' is not there, so press Escape to close the list.

Now a string of options is visible, often with 'quiet' or 'quiet splash --' at the end. Add 'forcepae' to the string before and after the two dashes.

Press return, and the installation begins.

This link describes a new way to use a boot option. Sometimes it must be entered twice, before and after the delimiter "-- ". We find it in Ubuntu Server 14.04.2 and newer versions, and in Ubuntu mini.iso version 15.04 and newer versions.

In the netboot method, also known as PXE booting, for 14.04 the 'Advanced options' menu item allows a 'Command-line expert install' which will find the right kernel. Then once the bare system is installed and booted, either the metapackage lubuntu-desktop or lubuntu-core can be installed. The checksums and OpenPGP signatures for the netboot downloads can be found in the directories above the actual downloads. Note that 'forcepae' method above may not work with netbooting, PXE, but will work with net install, mini.iso.

Linux Mint LXDE nebo XFCE4 mi tuším s jedním takovým ntb fungovalo.

Zatím díky za postrčení. Až se k tomu dostanu, tak budu zkoušet.

Milhouse: Vypadá to, že Mint přímo s LXDE není k dispozici, takže to asi bylo XFCE.

Jinak jsem právě forcepae chápal jako aktivaci (force = vynutit) a tak mě to zavedlo k tomu, že musím hledat tento parametr s dodatkem pro deaktivaci.

Nastaly však 2 zásadní problémy:

První je, že nefunguje vypnutí ani restart. Zamrzne to na screenu "lubuntu" a běhají jen tečky. Lze toto opravit?

Druhý je, že pro nepracující wifi to nabídlo nesvobodný ovladač, který to i nainstalovalo. Bylo mi divné, že prováděné změny trvaly 5 nebo o něco více minut, ale pak jako že dobrý a nes.ov. používány. Wifi však nefunkční a po restartu příslušná záložka už indikuje, že nejsou používány nes.ov. a že žádné nejsou k dispozici.
