problem s instalaci Gedit 2.18.0

Dobry den,
mam ubuntu 6.06 dapper + gnome. Odinstaloval jsem repozitarovou verzi gedit a chtel bych nainstalovat novou 2.18.0. http://www.gnome.org/projects/gedit/ tuto jsem stahl, rozbalil a podle navodu jsem se snazil nainstalovat. Ale daleko jsem se nedostal.
vypada to asi takto:

Tohle je ta klíčová řádka, nevím co je potřeba doinstalovat, ale tohle ti chybí. Zkus google nebo někdo možná ví.
Ještě se zkus podívat jestli tam není README pro configure, ten příkaz nesmí skončit error, pak se nevytvoří nastavení pro make.

jj. to jsem uz pochopil. podle toho readme jsem postupoval, ale take jsem googlin ohledne toho XML::Parseru a ukazalo se, ze nejsem jediny komu to nefunguje. Ostatni ale pisou ze maji XML::parser a stejne jim ho nenajde, ale ja zatim ani nevim jak mam overit zda XML::Parser mam ci nikoliv. Reseni jsem zatim nenasel. :-(

Jinak, můžu se zeptat, proč instaluješ novou verzi geditu? Je na ní něco převratného?

tak jsem nakonec rovnou nainstaloval ten intltool a uz jsem se dostal o kus dal, ale porad ne az do konce.

snad ani ne. Jen to proste chci zkusit

Prostě jen chuť kompilovat, aha...
Jen mě to zajímalo, taková zvláštní aplikace na kompilaci... Většinou kompiluju takové věci, které mi nabíhají pomalu a chci, aby zrychlily...

nie je gedit 2.18.0 v repozitaroch feisty? dalo by sa postupovat analogicky ako pisal juhuuu pri upgrade jadra.

Verze 2.18 je pro vyšší verzi Gnome Desktop. Dapper Drake setrvává na 2.14.x
