Zdravím. Mám skener Primax Colarado 600p.Stahl jsem nějaké ovladače pro linux přímo ze stránky podpory Primaxu.Ale co dál.Rozbalím baliky  a kam to mám dát? Ubuntu 6.06 díky

Tak ako? Podarilo sa ti alebo niekomu inemu tento scanner rozchodit? Ja mam Colorado 1200p a zatial 0 bodov. Pregoogloval som cely internet a nic konkretne. Pouzil som pxscan aj primaxscan ale scanner nepracuje. V Biose som ponadstavoval porty ale aj tak nic. Sice s jednym z tychto programov som dokazal zapnut lampu, aj ked som dal prikaz skenovat, tak sa rozbehol, ale ked mal zacat snimat, tak v nom nenormalne hrkotalo. Trapim sa s tym uz niekolko tyzdnov. Precital som tisice odkazov na stranky, ale konkretne nikde nic. Poradte mi ak ste ho niekto sfunkcnili prosiiiimmmm....

Toto je vyzva o pomoc.... HELP!

PS: Tento scaner nemám.

Ano, pozeral. Este k tomu mi tvoje linky svietia ako kliknute :-)

Viem, ze treba pouzit primaxscan alebo pxscan. Ako som hore pisal, jeden s nich spustim a nic, procesor pracuje na plne obratky, mozem cakat kolko len chcem. Druhy, ten je nadejny, ale scanovat sa mu neda, lebo ked chce uz zacat snimat, tak tam preskakuju nejake ozubenia alebo co.... Vravim Vam, poznam 80 percent vsetkych linkov o tomto scaneri. Ale vsade sa odkazuje len na tieto dva programi. Manual k nim je biedny.

No. pxscan mi uz ako tak ide s frontend Yet Another Primax GUI. Ale:
- musím použiť staršiu verziu pxscan 0.30 a nie 0.41
- namiesto skenovania celej plochy zajde len do polovice
- a to najdolezitejsie, naskenovany dokument je prazdny :-))

Spomenul som si, ze pre kompilaciu potreboval kniznicu libtiff3. Stvorku odmietal, tak som mu ju surovo navnutil. Problem s prazdnym tiff dokumentom moze byt v tom.

Také mám problém s instalací scaneru Primax Colorado 1200P

Stáhnul jsem si výše zmiňovaný ovladač - primax_scan-0.93beta3.tar.gz
Po rozbalení jsem v terminálu zadal "./configure" a vypsalo mi to tuto hlášku:

Před kompilací jsem do systému nainstaloval metabalík build-essential, bylo to tady ve fóru doporučováno

Ja som to vzdal a kupil si multifunkčnú HP. Teraz nemám problém :-)
Ináč ak by ten scanner niekto chcel, tak nech si poň príde, dám mu ho - síce už bez zdroja

Všechno kde ti ./confugure vypsal missing, musíš doinstalovat viz. aclocal,autoconf ...
To aspoň pro začátek ... zbytek se uvidí co ti zas nahlásí

Díky za pomoc, tak jsem o kus dál, ale stále něco chybí.

Nechci rejpat, ale počítám ,že do Synapticu jsi se díval, že jo?

Ovladač tam je, ale ne ten, který potřebuju ke grafické nástavbě.
Ale zkusil jsem ho a nainstaloval.

Pokus o spuštění skončil hláškou:

V biosu jsem nastavil mod EPP (byl tam EPC) a znovu zkusil spustit. Opět následovala hláška

Zkusil jsem změny -  verze (1.7 - 1.9), IRQ (IRQ5 - IRQ7) a stále stejná hláška

Zkoušel jsem to kompilování obejít a hledal jsem na netu hotový ovladač.
Tady jsem ho našel :  "http://www.geocities.com/neofpo/yaprimaxgui.html" , bohužel jen RPM forma.
Přes Aliena jsem ho převedl do deb a nainstaloval.

Výsledek to samé, co jsem psal výše. Moduly na port mám v pohodě - vyzkoušeno přes příkaz "l smod".

Tady je každá rada drahá.

Jinak jsem při hledání narazil na zajímavou stránku (jsou tam linuxové knihovny)

Verze kandidáta : 0.93beta3-9 ... tzn. je to ten co se ho snažíš zkompilovat ... další
This is a stand-alone driver program for the Primax Colorado Direct scanners and compatibles (e.g. Storm Totalscan, Network Scanny MM100, Genius Colorpage Vivid+)
The command must be run by root because it wants direct access to the hardware parallell port.
The software seems to be written only for i386 hardware.
Píše se zde, že "příkaz musí být spuštěn, jako root, protože je potřeba přímo přistoupit k hardw. paralelnímu portu". viz ta hláška "Scanner did not switch to EPP mode.....not compatible?(Skener nelze přepnout do EPP modu" .... "Takže zkoušej dál ...... hodně štěstí

Z diskuzí jsem se dočetl, že musím být přidaný do skupiny lp přikazem :

sudo adduser lp

To jsem udělal, ale výsledek to samé, co jsem psal minule.

Pochopil jsem to dobře, že nestačí spouštět ovladač přes sudo ale musím být root?

Ja ešte k tomu tolko. Ja som to asi pred cca rokom rozchodil do takej miery, že sa mi skaner hýbal po zadaní prikazu aj som zadal rozmery kde a čo ma skenovat. Som si rozpomenul, že som použil ten primaxscan z repozirárov. Ale problém bol v tom, že skaner sa pohyboval mimo svoju dráhu. Nevedel som si s tým poradiť. A ani nič nikde som nikoho do žiadnej skupiny nepridával. Ale ten port som si v BIOSe myslím nastavil.

Pochopil jsem to dobře, že nestačí spouštět ovladač přes sudo ale musím být root?

Ne .. mělo by stačit to spouštět se sudo.

Vím, že to bylo dávno, ale nevzpomínáš si, jestli si v biosu nastavil jen EPP mod - port 378 (ten jsem tam měl nastaven) a nebo si to ladil trochu více.
Zkoušel jsem v biosu různé varianty a tahle informace by mi pomohla.

Momentálně řeším dva problémy - špatně nastavený bios a nebo špatně nainstalovaný nebo nastavený ovladač

Ja som tam asi nastavil asi EPP 1.7 a som asi urcite nedaval EPP/(ten druhý mód) (ale to tak na 70%)

Tak po několika večerech stále žádný pokrok.

Zkoušel jsem to i natvrdo s rootem a stále stejná hláška se smajlíkem.
Pokusy v biosu také bez výsledku.

Napadlo mě, jestli nebude problém s nastavením parallel portu přímo v ubuntu.

Nebyla by rada ohledně nastavení portu v ubuntu?
